Why doesnt lifetime air unsolved mysteries anymore. I checked the listings and they have no air time. Im gonna lose my mind if they got rid of it. Help!!!

Yes Lifetime no longer airs it unfortunately. It does air on the "Lifetime Real Women" channel though every weeknight and twice on Saturday and Sunday overnight if you get that channel.

We don't get "Lifetime Real Women" here, so I haven't seen the show in almost a year. :(

UM had a fourteen year run on "Lifetime" and for a longtime was their flagship show (ie: the show they promoted the most and garnered the most ratings)

In the early to mid 90s, "Lifetime" didn't produce any programming of its own and just seemed to air old tv movies and UM on a regular basis. When "Lifetime" decided to start producing its own programming in the late 90s (Strong Medicine, Missing etc.) - a lot less attention was paid to promoting Unsolved Mysteries.

Finally in the past few years, Lifetime aquired other sitcoms (most notably "The Golden Girls") and those shows became more popular than the old UM re-runs. Therefore after fourteen years on the network, UM was bumped to the minor leagues so to speak and now airs on their B-station "Lifetime: Real Women".

A lot of people here while grateful that the show is still on the air in some fashion wish that "Lifetime" would release UM from its contract so another station (more readily available to most viewers) would pick it up.
