A few days ago I received an email from a new member of the group. She was interested in getting my Heres Lucy set. I went through her small list of shows and movies and did find enough items of interest for her to be able to get all of HL. I tell her that and that we can do 3 or 4 small trades, because thats a whole lotta Lucy for me to be copying. She then wants for both of us to ship at the same time, because the few trades that she's done before , others agreed to do that. I did not and told her that since shes new and she emailed me for the trade, she should be sending first. She decided not to go through with the trade until she has more experience doing this.

What are your thoughts on this?

Anyone who iniates a trade should send first.Especially a newbie setting up a trade with an established trader in good standing.

for someone new to trading, bigger trades and sending first can be kinda scary until you get used to it.

it might be better to start with a just small trade first and see how it goes - if she can't stand to send first with only a few disks it might not be worth it.

the first trade was just going to be between 7 and 9 discs for her to send. Unrelated to this, I have had people who would offer to send money for shows, but would balk at sending first if I decided to trade with them
