Has anyone bought this? I was looking at it in Borders and it was only part of
the first season and they wanted $39.99 for it. How many different sets are there for the first season? Can you get the complete season all in one box

I bought the complete first season, not sure when, but probably not too long after it came out. I saw it one day in Best Buy and just grabbed it.

I'm not sure what they've done since that time with regards to the 1st season packaging, but I've seen the 2nd season out, and apparently they split it into two sets, as far as I can tell.

I assumed that they split the seasons in order to lower the price of A purchase. But I'm not sure how well that strategy is working. I don't really follow DVD sales, and I have no idea how Lost In Space is doing, DVD sales-wise. I've not purchased the 2nd or 3rd season yet.

I have never seen a complete 2nd or 3rd season box set in any store I've been in.

I-Tunes also sells individual episodes of Lost in Space, I think for $1.99 each, for the video ipod (although it would also play on a PC as well). I haven't brought any Lost in Space episodes, although I did buy one of the Land of the Giants epsisodes.

Amazon.com has the complete first season for $45, but it only lists season 2 as two separate packages, and it only lists part I of season 3. I'm not sure if the second part of season 3 has been released yet, but I think that all of the season 3 episodes are available on I-Tunes.

In America you can get the complete season 1. Season 2 and 3 are devided into two sets (volume one and two). In the UK you can buy each season as a complete season boxset. You can also buy a complete LIS boxset which has all 3 seasons in a cardboard box. Check out Amazon.co.uk for details and a picture. One thing, the 3rd season has some poor quality episodes in that the picture seems to suffer from a sort of ghosting effect. Looks worse on big screen tvs and concerns about half the episodes.
