Site News - An Important Note From Gord - Please read

For the past 5 years Dave and I have worked tirelessly on the site, watching it grow and rise in popularity. Last year we caught the eye of TV Guide when we worked with them on the "TV Guide: TV on DVD 2006: The Ultimate Resource to Television Programs on DVD" book. That project turned out really well, and we started to explore ways to strengthen our relationship. That exploration has resulted in them acquiring the website.
Very little will change right now; there will be a new privacy policy placed on the site, the copyright notice will change, and there will be a few other minor changes. Dave and I aren't going anywhere, and we'll continue to bring you daily news on TV-DVD releases. The site will remain separate from TVGuide.com, though you'll see some integration of content over here, and there. Joining TV Guide will help raise the profile of the website, both online, and in the eyes of the studios, which will only strengthen our ability to promote the TV-DVD genre. We're also able to tap into the incredible wealth of information and experience over at TV Guide, and use that to improve TVShowsOnDVD.com.
The past 5 years have been a blast, and things can only get better. We'd like to thank you for being loyal visitors to the site, and invite you to join us as we enter a new and exciting time.

My own opinion is that this site will become a pawn in any promotional and marketing schemes that TV Guide has. I fear that the information will become less complete and skewed towards the financial relationships and goals of the magazine. :mad:
