This isn't really a snow storm picture, but this is a picture of my dog Tara getting ready to go out in the snow. She always wears a jacket when it's this cold and for Christmas, she got booties. She tired them on for the first time today and I never laughed so hard when I saw her try to walk! This is the dog that got her eye bitten. She looks fantastic!!

80sTrivia 02-15-2007, 04:51 PM Wow!!! That's a lot of snow!
The pictures were great. It looks awfully cold there with all that snow. We've
hardly had any here in Clarksville but thats fine, I'm not a good driver in snow.

catlover79 02-15-2007, 09:11 PM I hate driving in snowy weather, especially since the road I work on is a long industrial boulevard, and directly adjacent to the freeway. So when the plows are out on the freeway, all the snow gets dumped onto our industrial road!! The good thing is I work until 8 pm, so rush hour is over then and not many cars were out.
I also have to wonder...since this snowstorm hit a good part of the country on Valentine's week, will we see a baby boom come November?? ;)
PrettyinPink55 02-15-2007, 09:19 PM Goodness Gracious!!!!
Ohio8 02-19-2007, 11:20 PM I remember the Blizzard of '78. These are pics I scanned from one of my high school yearbooks, which is where these were taken at the beginning of 1978 when the blizzard hit Ohio.

Wow!! I was born the next year, but I remember my dad telling me about the winters of '77 and '78. He said it was like driving to work in a tunnel, since both sides of the roads had such high piles of snow. Thanks for sharing the pics, Ohio8. Which high school did you go to??

Maumee High School, which is in the Toledo suburb of the same name. Northern Ohio gets heavy snow, especially the Snow Belt area east of Cleveland. I was living in Mentor when the November 1996 snowstorm hit.

The blizzard of 1978 is one of my very earliest memories.
Chelsea 02-20-2007, 05:56 PM In southern KY, people here went into an outright panic when we got ~3 inches the other day.

How well I remember the blizzard of Nov. 1996. I was a junior in high school and we ended up getting almost the entire week off!! :) I also had a sinus infection that week, so that part wasn't too fun. :(
