I will be getting this when it starts in March. I have quite a few AHP from the 1985 series if you are interested.

Woah cool, this channel starts in March? Will it be part of an existing package, like Encore or its own channel? How do I find out if it will be on my cable system?

From what I read it will be part of direct tv's package like the sleuth channel. They do have a website but all it says right now is coming soon.

Does the sleuth channel have a website?

And will anyone be recording Freddy's Nightmares?

Slueth channel does have a website that tells about its shows and the schedule. There is a link to chiller channel website from the press releases just nothing on there. I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

Don't get your hopes up of getting a complete set of any show they air. They are following the same mold as Sleuth has been, which is to air the same block(usually 1/3 to 1/2 a series) on a loop at least three times, then take it off the channel.

It looks like they'll also be showing the original Alfred Hitchcock Presents, will anyone be recording that show too?

Anyone know if Comcast is gonna carry it? Or is this gonna be on most likely Directv and or Dish Network only?

Edited. Every damn thing they've shown so far has been some edited syndicated version. **** on this channel.

Anyone recording Freddy's Nightmares, as well as the original and new AHP series off this channel?

Also, for some reason, they are using the old B&W opening for the 80's Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes rather then the actual opening used for that series (the one with the logo as razors being "traced"). Why the hell would you do that? Why use the old opening? When these same episodes aired on Scifi in the 90's the correct opening was used, and when they were aired on Space in Canada just a few years ago they had the correct openings. Why change it now?

I was so looking forward to getting shows like AHP and Freddys Nightmares and Friday The 13th: The Series off this channel but I will stick with my original airings (the CORRECT versions) of shows like these I guess.

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO JUST AIR SHOWS UNCUT? Damn it.

I think they just don't pay attention and utilize whatever masters they get from the syndicator. It's very rare that actual fans of the shows are in charge of their airing.

So does this mean you're not recording shows off this channel?

Most likely not.

I have Dish Network, yet can't seem to get this channel. I really wanted to see Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Night Gallery, two of my favorite shows. Also, Unsolved Mysteries is on another channel I can't get on Dish Network. Hopefully I will be ditching Dish Network in favor of DirecTV eventually.

I'm recording Alfred Hitchcock Presents-both the old and the new.

They should be getting it soon, since they got Sleuth like two weeks after it debuted on DirecTV.

You aren't missing alot, since everything is cut-down to an extent.

The Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes from the '50's and 60's ran 25-26 minutes, so it's probably inevitable that they are going to be edited, since the standard nowadays is about 8 minutes of commercials per half hour of programming. While unedited is ideal, as long as they're not cutting out the most imporant scenes, it's probably the best we can hope for.

I've made a Alfred Hitchcock Presents dvd set from Canadian UNCUT broadcasts.
Every episode averages ~ 25 minutes each, with commercials removed.
It's an excellent set.

Has the episode "Hippocritic Oath" from the new Alfred Hitchcock Presents series aired yet on Chiller TV? If so, does anyone have a copy of it on
DVD-R?
