In certain shows or episodes, that is...

Here's mine:

"The Graduate" from Charles In Charge where an older attractive relative of Mrs. Powell becomes attracted to Charles.

"Mona Gets Pinned" where Mona dates a college student twice her own age.

One that comes to mind is when Alex is working as his school's DJ, and he starts seeing an older woman.

The entire premise of the short-lived THEN CAME YOU was an older woman with a younger man.

Murphy Brown's boyfriend Peter Hunt was about 7 years younger than her. I remember there being a discussion about that fact during "It's Just Like Riding a Bike." That was one of my fave eps. of the series, actually.

On Cheers this younger man was attracted to Rebecca but she didn't want
anything to do with him until she found out he was the boss and rich. He looked like he was 17 or 18 years old but he was probably a little older than that.

Ditto with the comedy, Living With Fran. Also Jessica Tate's affair with Peter Campbell, and El Puerco bother younger than her. Friends, Phoebe's brother getting together with his former teacher.

Jessica Tate had an affair with El Puerco. I was jealous because El Puerco was played by the extremely hot Gregory Sierra. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: In real life, he's about 12-13 years younger than Katherine Helmond.

This was a funny episode of Sister, Sister: 15-year-old Tamera gets a crush on a cute boy she meets on the city bus. She gets invited to his birthday party, where it turns out the boy is only 12!!!

On Golden Girls, Blanche was always attracted to younger men.

I know this is a drama, but I was watching my DVD set of Family. An older woman writer (Elizabeth Ashley) has an affair with Willie (Gary Frank), who takes it much more seriously than she does.

Should we count Bewitched in this?? After all, Samantha WAS several centuries older than her husband Darrin...even though she looked even younger than she did the day they met. ;)

Ms. Jacobs (a teacher) on Dawson's Creek seduced Pacey (her student) and "popped his cherry" lol.

How older?

On "Blossom," Blossom was running for some office at her school, and it came out that her male opponent had an affair with one of the female teachers at their school.

The joke was that, when they talked to the teacher, they had a black dot over her face, so you couldn't see who it was; except, the black dot kept slipping, so you could see her face.

Then on "Soap," Billy Tate, when he turned 18, had an affair with one of his former teachers. Then when he broke up with her, she began to stalk him.

on "The Drew Carey show" once; Drew was dating an older woman played by Shirley Jones in a few episodes. (which of course was an excuse for the writers to have them living together; and sleeping together:rolleyes: . WHY do sitcom writers DO that with a couple who's just going together?)

We can count I Dream of Jeannie in this because Jeannie was 2,000 years old when Tony let her out of her bottle. She didn't look it though.
At the 2nd Annual TV Land Awards Larry Hagman and Barbara Eden presented the first award and they were talking about when their characters met how old they were; Tony was in his 30's and Jeannie was in her 2,000's LOL. Barbara said "One of TV's older woman younger man romances, Demi Moore eat your heart out." Or something like that. It was so funny and so true.

Yes, Christopher Atkins played one of Sue Ellen Ewing's "boy toys". He didn't last very long!

I know in Charles In Charge the older woman of Mrs. Powell's relative was attracted to Charles, but in Happy Days didn't Chachi at one time become attracted to an older woman other than Joanie? Or was it Ritchie the one who was always attracted to older women?

On The Wonder Years in the episode "Summer Song" Kevin became attracted to a woman he met during the family vacation in Ocean City, namely "Teri with an 'RI'." She was 15 while Kevin was 14--oops, Kevin was 13 in reality and lied about his age!

I'm not freshprinceofLA but I'm sure they meant Three's Company. There was a woman named Lana who was supposed to be escorted by Larry but ended up needing to work so he asked Jack to do it. Lana ended up falling for Jack and moving into the apartment building. She was eventually written out.

Also on Wings, didn't Helen drool over that young baseball player in "Say it Ain't So, Joe"? (He was played by Matthew Fox, so I can't say I blame her! hehe)

Facts of Life

In the "Born Too Late" episode Jo and Andy was looking at Fragrances and Jo put her arm around Andy saying that she may date him herself, but he turned her down and said that his heart belongs to Tootie. He was 11 and Jo was like 20? I think?

Mama’s Family:

In the season two episode, entitled “Ellen’s Boyfriend”, Ellen, just coming out of a divorce from her former husband, Bruce, dates a younger man, in fact, a WAY younger man, possibly in his late 20s, which is much to Mama’s dismay.

In real life Lucille Ball was 6 years older than Desi Arnaz - I wonder if that's true of Lucille McGillicuddy and Ricky Ricardo as well?

A few more examples:

- The original Dynasty - Alexis was attracted to at least two younger men: Sean Rowan (who turned out to be Kirby's older brother obsessed with revenge against Alexis and tried to kill her) and Dex Dexter, and she had affairs with both of them.

- Sisters - Georgie was attracted to and became lovers with a young man who was one of her graduate school classmates. If I remember correctly, he was played by Joe Flanigan. In the series finale, she gently breaks up with him, and it's implied that she and her ex-husband will get back together.

The daytime soaps are filled with plenty of examples. Here are several memorable examples:
- One Life To Live - Dorian (a woman who was up in her 50s) seduced her archrival's 20-something son and carried on an affair with him. The younger man was played by Nathan Fillion (who was in his mid to late 20s at the time) All this took place about 26, 27 years ago.

- Another World - Donna (a divorced socialite in her late 40's or her 50s) had an ongoing affair with Matt (a young society fellow in his late 20s or his early 30s) and they married. Matt divorced Donna after she had a one-night stand with her ex-husband and father of their children.

- The Bold and the Beautiful - In the early 1990s, the fashion business owner Sally proposed marriage to her head designer and friend Clarke. She loved him and wanted him to love her, and she decided to make him a partner in her company but he turned around and became an uncaring womanizer. Sally got pregnant with his son, and Clarke divorced Sally and turned his back on her and their son, and tried to scam her out of her company, but Sally turned the tables on him and kept her company and got it out of his grasp. Years later, Clarke reformed and became a caring father actively involved in their son's life, and Clarke became good friends with Sally again.
________________________________________________________________
- Archie Bunker's Place - Veronica (played by Anne Meara) became attracted to a younger man - a health inspector who visited the bar - and they began dating. I think there was a 15 or 20 year age gap. She broke up with him, admitting that she couldn't deal with the age difference and that she couldn't handle what people might think about them going out with each other. Their last dialogue with each other, has him saying to her something like, "Will you give me a call if you (change your mind and) decide that it's not so terrible?" Veronica replies softly, fighting back tears, "So fast it'll make your head spin."

- The Nanny - Niles the butler and Maxwell's childhood nanny (Cloris Leachman?) had been lovers when Niles was in his late teens, and they seem to briefly resume their affair years later in that one episode.

- The Love Boat - Michelle Phillips played a woman who became attracted to Doc's 20-year-old (or 20-something) nephew (Willie Aames), and they start to go out with each other, while Doc and the woman go out with each other too, and the nephew and uncle end up trying to compete with each other for the woman's affections. The woman ends her courtship with the nephew saying there is no future for the two of them beyond their ocean cruise, and she ends things with the uncle also. I think Michelle Phillips was about 38 or 39 when this episode was filmed.
