but I never got an answer. One of the extras on the season 2 DVD set is an episode of a show called STUMP THE STARS that Dick, Mary, Morey and Rose appeared on. Can someone tell me all about this show, or give me a link to a site with info. about it?

Stump The Stars, as you have probably found out by now, was a continuation of one of television's oldest panel games, PANTOMIME QUIZ, which began in LA in the late 1940s.

...was indeed the final network version of Mike Stokey's perennial summer replacement series, "PANTOMIME QUIZ", which found its way through all four TV networks from the late '40s through the early '60s. The 1962-'63 edition was entitled "STUMP THE STARS" [on CBS], and apparently almost all of the videotapes (or kinescopes) from that season were saved, thanks to Stokey himself, who owned the program...and this is why, on DVD, you can see the episode where the cast of "THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW" got to play Mike's celebrated celebrity charades!

...'treky', but you're right! Because Stokey owned the show, he was able to get a few more years out of his "old warhorse" in syndication before TV "outgrew" it.
