View Full Version : February Sucks! Steve M. 02-10-2007, 10:17 PM I'm sick of winter, I'm lonely on Valentine's Day, and there's little to do. And this year I'm out of work for this month! EmoJoe 02-10-2007, 10:18 PM february is BORING. it gets better after there though cause March is the beginning of Spring and April is a sign that the end of the school year is coming soon :woohoo: Janice 02-10-2007, 10:26 PM Steve, now February is Black History Month, so surely.... :racist:  Kidding with you Steve. February is a blah month. Hollow 02-10-2007, 10:53 PM ughz. racist  Jo_Luvs_Ketchup 02-10-2007, 10:58 PM I'm sorry you're having a bad month. :( It's actually nice for me for once lol. Janice 02-10-2007, 11:02 PM ughz. racist  Who's a racist? ABlairican Pie 02-10-2007, 11:26 PM Yeccchhh, I've been sick all week with cough, flu, cold, everything. puke: Brian Damage 02-10-2007, 11:29 PM February sucks for sports fans. Georgia's on my Mind 02-10-2007, 11:43 PM My boyfriend works at a supermarket bakery and the company he works for was promoting cornbread in honor of black history month....racist much? Ireneparalegal 02-10-2007, 11:47 PM Who's a racist? We are all racist, sexist and homophobes!!!!!!!!!!!   Yeah, February is Black History Month. The shortest month of the year. That sucks. Courtnee 02-11-2007, 12:02 AM Valentine's Day is depressing I don't know much about St. Valentine, but I can only assume he was the patron saint of overpriced greeting cards. Courtnee 02-11-2007, 12:02 AM My boyfriend works at a supermarket bakery and the company he works for was promoting cornbread in honor of black history month....racist much? Ireneparalegal 02-11-2007, 12:03 AM My boyfriend works at a supermarket bakery and the company he works for was promoting cornbread in honor of black history month....racist much? :brent Ireneparalegal 02-11-2007, 12:03 AM Valentine's Day is depressing I don't know much about St. Valentine, but I can only assume he was the patron saint of overpriced greeting cards. LuLu Rogers 02-11-2007, 12:24 AM I've always hated February. Valentine's Day has become such a commercial holiday. People start dating just to have someone on Valentine's Day, then break up soon afterwards. It's so stupid. I may just be jealous though because this will be my 20th Valentine's Day alone. I'm always single on Valentine's Day. :( dawsongirl 02-11-2007, 01:41 AM I'm not single and Valentine's Day is still stupid. Love me more just one day a year. and HA! to the bakery thing and Courtnee's take on St. Valentine. Janice 02-11-2007, 01:43 AM My boyfriend works at a supermarket bakery and the company he works for was promoting cornbread in honor of black history month....racist much? That's just bizarre on every level. Dutabi84 02-11-2007, 01:53 AM I think everyone can agree that February sucks on a variety of levels, which is why it's probably it's the shortest month. dawsongirl 02-11-2007, 01:55 AM I think everyone can agree that February sucks on a variety of levels, which is why it's probably it's the shortest month. My word a day calendar said something very similar about February. Brent88 02-11-2007, 02:39 AM I think everyone can agree that February sucks on a variety of levels, which is why it's probably it's the shortest month. :yeahthat I hate Valentine's Day too. Crimson and Clover 02-11-2007, 03:57 PM I like February. Lor turns 2 on the 17th. TVFactFan 02-11-2007, 04:35 PM I'm sick of winter, I'm lonely on Valentine's Day, and there's little to do. And this year I'm out of work for this month! I never thought I would see a Guy down about not having a Valentine-lol Well I don't have a Valentine and on Valentine's Day I plan to be watching the Game and chowing down on Nachos-lol Damm a Valentine's Day rusyd 02-11-2007, 06:28 PM Yeah, February is a crappy month for me as well. At least at work it is. freshprinceofLA 02-11-2007, 09:21 PM Feb. is actually one of my favorite months. 1. B/c we have a lot of day off's from school 2. There's always good dvd releases 3. Lots of birthdays to celebrate So its basically a kick back month for me. Sorry you're having a bad month. Steve M. 02-11-2007, 09:36 PM By the way, Black History Month was started as Negro History Week in the third week of February 1926 by the balck historian Carter G. Woodson. February is Black History Month because Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass were both born in February, not becasue it's the shortest month. Similar, March is Women's History Month because Interational WOmen's Day, honoring the anniverseary of a female labor rally, is in March (March 8), not because March is a temperamental month. So not everything is a conspiracy. Oh yeah, I think September is Hispanic Heritage Month because Mexico won its independence in September. Nighthawk76 02-12-2007, 12:26 AM Since I don't have a Valentine I have a feeling that I am going to feel lonely this Wednesday. I used to love being single, but over the last couple of months I've begun to realize how lonely I really am. Don't let it get to you, especially if you are younger than me Nighthawk76 02-12-2007, 12:29 AM Don't let it get to you, especially if you are younger than me I'm a year younger than you. TVFactFan 02-12-2007, 12:31 AM I'm a year younger than you. I guess since I been older than 25, Valentine's Day don't get to me like it used to. When I was a Teenager that's when it would bother me because the school would have things like Valentine's Day Dance. But now I can care Less-lol dawsongirl 02-12-2007, 01:44 AM I am completely indifferent about Valentine's Day, too; even when I am in a relationship, this holiday is not that big of a deal! Same here. It's just an excuse to overdo the pink and red, sell a year's worth of greeting cards in a month, and over charge on flowers and food. So big deal. Of course, I'm sitting here eating a heart-shaped cookie.... lol TVFactFan 02-12-2007, 10:40 AM I wouldn;t go overboard at all, I would serve my girl some heart shape chicken nuggets on a Red paper plate with fries and some delicous juice in a Red Cup followed by a foot massage and telling her how much she means to me LOL Steve M. 02-12-2007, 11:36 AM Since I don't have a Valentine I have a feeling that I am going to feel lonely this Wednesday. I used to love being single, but over the last couple of months I've begun to realize how lonely I really am. Me too, I just met the most wonderful girl - an Englishwoman living in Manhattan - but she's already taken. We're friends, but I rarely see her and I wish I'd met her when she was available. And now I might even have to give up my friendship with her because my mom is ready to quit the Greater New York Metro area to avoid high property taxes and move to someplace like Nebraska! So if I think I'm lonely now. . . . :( Imagine February in Nebraska. :eek2: TVFactFan 02-12-2007, 11:44 AM Me too, I just met the most wonderful girl - an Englishwoman living in Manhattan - but she's already taken. But I agree with Solomon; it is such a blatant commercial for the candy and flower companies. It used to get to me when I was younger but now I could care less. I have my family and my job. I enjoy my space and independence. Sure, I'd love to get married but only if it's to the right one, and I'm determined not to settle. Don't get me wrong...there is one special guy in my life who gets all my kisses and love. He loves me just as much, I believe. But I have long hair and he loves to grab it. *Sigh* The guy in question is my 8-month-old nephew. Well, nobody's perfect. :D dawsongirl 02-13-2007, 11:38 PM I'm 27 and have spent every Valentine's alone. I just don't care about getting married or all that stuff. I like the me time. Steve M. 02-14-2007, 10:58 PM We got snow in New Jersey that iced up; shoveling it was like shoveling permafrost. Told you February sucks!! Fleet 02-15-2007, 12:30 AM We got snow in New Jersey that iced up; shoveling it was like shoveling permafrost. Told you February sucks!!
