Please refresh my memory :)

1) A case about a woman who was depressed, took pictures of herself in front of the bathroom mirror with a very stoic look on her face (I can still see the images UM showed in my head....creepy). She later basically walked away from her life, and IIRC she was seen hitchhiking along a road and hasn't been seen since.

2) A native american girl who was kidnapped, later reportedly seen by a Waitress at a diner, where she wrote "help me" on the napkin (or something to that effect).

3) A kid is found dead in his Mustang in a garage in a bad part of Chicago. The police ruled suicide, but there were signs it may have been murder. I remember seeing the case and thinking there was foul play involved.

Any help would be great...thanks!

1 - Sounds like Patricia Meehan, she was involved in a car crash and simply walked away into a field and disappeared. They discovered photo's of her in the manner you discribed.

2 - Not totally sure here but I think it's Anthonette Cayedito. I could be wrong but I definately remember the case you are talking about.

3 - Chad Maurer.

Here is a little help,

1) Lady was involved in a traffic acident, may have thought it was her fault and seriously hurt or killed someone. Some theories are that she ran away or is suffering from amnesia.

2) Kidnap victim, kidnapped from her house and her friend recalls the person called himself Uncle Joe. She did have an Uncle Joe at the time , but he has been ruled out. The police have a recorded tape that they believe she made too 911 and the mother also believes it was her. There have been uncomfirmed sightings but she has never been found.

3)Chad Mauer, worked at a bike shop, one day disapeared and was found in a garage in the south side of chicago. First they thought it was suicide, but further investigation it appears foul play involved possibly due to a drug deal gone bad. Hope this helps

Thanks guys. Here's a site featuring Patricia Meehan....sad that she hasn't been found :(

And yeah, I was referring to Anthonette Cayedito. Here is a link to a charleyproject profile that states: "Cayedito's case remains unsolved. Investigators believe foul play may have been involved in her disappearance and that she is deceased." Damn....:(

Another couple other cases I was wondering about -

4) A car being driven by a guy with his Wife and their friends in the car gets struck accidentally by another car in an apparent hit and run. The guy becomes enraged and starts tailing the car that hit him (or so he thinks). He ends up forcing the car to pull over and subsequently beats (or stabs?) the driver to death. It turned out to be the wrong guy he killed, and he got convicted of murder and sentenced to prison. At the hearing, news cameras captured his Wife saying something to him like "You promised me..." Then they disappeared before his sentence was to begin. Then, UM had an update where some remains were found in a river and they were later identified as those of his Wife. I believe the man's name was Adam.

5) Here's one I vaguely remember - Human bones were found in the backyard of a home belonging to a couple. The couple was interviewed on UM and the Husband was very suspicious. Then, IIRC the Wife disappeared (this was featured on an update) and then her remains were found in the backyard as well. The Husband, unbelieveably wasn't arrested and later was in a standoff with police but still didn't end up getting charged(?) Sorry for vague details of this one....I saw it a long time ago.

Wow, good memory Fletch considering you haven't seen them in years. :) #5 is Monika Rizzo. Her husband has never been arrested to my knowledge and I believe this one is on the Bizarre Murders boxed sets.

Wow. This is one of those rare instances where I knew all the cases, yet everyone else beat me to it. :) Nice job guys.

I didn't realize that authorites were thinking Anthoniette was dead. I thought there was some speculation that she was still alive and had given birth to a child... am I mixing her up with someone else?

^ No you are correct about that final tidbit regarding Anthonette possibly being alive and having a child. But take into account this was information not obtained by a law enforcement agency but a medicine woman who was advising Anthonette's mom at the time.

PS: damn Space Invaderz, I hope thats a man in your avatar. I might have to get Terri Welles or someone in my avatar asap cause seriously thats some scary ****.

I honestly cannot believe that this case has gone cold....you'd think that with as much evidence the police have recovered at the site that there would be some kind of update.

Here are some links I found -

Yea, I believe the segment was titled "Bones in the Backyard (or something like that)"?

"Backyard Bones" was the title... nice memory!

I can't believe that they never took action against Leonard Rizzo. To have the bones from, like, three people spread all over your backyard and the authorities do nothing? There are some things I'll never understand.

Another one -

6)A woman being stalked, and really all I can remember from this one is a shot of her looking out the window at her work and seeing some graffiti on the wall threatening her. IIRC, she was later found dead. This one is an early case.

Cindy Anderson. She worked as a paralegal in an office and just disappeared from the office one day... I know it's on one of CD's collections... volume 1 or 2, I think.

Volume One.

Well the grafitti wasn't threatening per se, it said "I love you Cindy." But, it did give the impression that somebody was obsessed with her, which probably did lead to her abduction.

So she wasn't found dead....that's weird I could have sworn that her body was found in an update. I'm probably confusing it with another case....there's so many "missing girl" cases in this country....

As of this writing, she hasn't been found dead or alive. I think you might have gotten this mixed up with another case. There was some speculation that she was being held captive in the basement of a house in the area that she was abducted, but this hasn't been proved or disproved.

Werent a couple of brothers that are now in prison in Ohio looked at as suspects in Anderson's disapperance? As for the "I love you Cindy" spray painting, I do not think that the person that sprayed that was the person that kidnapped and probably murdered Cindy Anderson. I do think there is a decent chance it was the maintanence man at the strip mall whose initials were GW that wrote that. I believe the maintanence man passed away several years ago. They were never able to prove it was him of course but it might have been. But at the same time maybe not, because if he was spray painting it at night he obviously didnt want people knowing it was him that wrote it so why would he put his initials at the end of it? Maybe someone tried to frame him with the initials? Very interesting and sad case there. I have always wondered about the anonymous female caller. I do have the feeling she was legit but was simply too scared to give enough information out to lead the police to Anderson.
