It's not funny, but it's always serious, even sombre. I think this should be considered a drama series, not a comedy series.

I think it is funny at times even though a lot of what goes on is serious. It really has some characteristics of both. It seems like if something is a half hour long it is automatically considered a sitcom.

Well, out of all the episodes I have watched, and it's a couple by now, I think the only even remotely funny part, when you were supposed to laugh, was when Morgan was singing lyrics out loud from songs, that this girl had written about Eric. Otherwise, it seems more like a drama show a la "Seventh Heaven" or "O.C" than like most sitcoms. Don't get me wrong here. I like this show, but it doesn't feel like sitcom. And if a TV show has to be called a sitcom because it's an half hour show, well, that's just wrong.

ther were alot of funny episodes .some down right ridiculous.so i don't know if calling it drama is right either. there were many heavy dramatic episodes but i think the producer was just trying to make it more realistic.than your average half hour quote "sitcom"

It was defeneitly a sitcom.There were plenty of sitcoms that weren't 100% funny.BMW had its funny moments.If this isn't a sitcom then 70% of the shows on this website aren't.

The reason it was sometimes serious is the situations that come up center around a teenage boy and his friends. So yes, there are going to be many parts that are serious. Doesn't mean there's no comedic value in it.

You can kinda compare it to Full House in that respect.

He's right. Full House just came to my mind first because I there's a reference to it in the Pilot episode which I just watched the other day :P

Ooh yeah the series gets a lot more serious as he gets older. If you go back and watch the first season when Cory's 11, it's all cute and funny.

IMO, it gets funnier as it goes along, but many other people disagree.

Well, I wonder if I ever can watch the earliest episodes. That depends on what my Swedish version of Disney Channel will air.
