I learned that after reading AS Berman's 2014 book about Soap. But there really wasn't any mention of Cathryn Damon and Eugene Roche in the little section about Stu and Webster. I've been a long-time fan of Cathryn Damon but would never have known otherwise that she was a regular. I had deemed Webster "too wholesome" and tame a show for me. Actually, it's a nice mix of kid comedy and some unusual sitcom plots. And the cast has solid acting chops. glickmam 12-17-2015, 12:00 AM I learned that after reading AS Berman's 2014 book about Soap. Probably because at the time Damon and Roche joined the cast of Webster, Silver had left the series to write screenplays for Hollywood, and had been replaced by William P. D'Angelo and, later, Bruce Johnson. opus 12-17-2015, 12:24 AM I learned that after reading AS Berman's 2014 book about Soap. Good book. I remember having the guys website bookmarked for years till it was finally published. I was disappointed that he didn't actually write Webster episodes - he and Susan Harris had the most seamless writing partnership on Soap. I'm sure I would have loved any Webster scripts he might have written. And I guess I'd assumed that as the show's creator, he might have been the one to bring the Parker pair on board. It would have been fun to follow its progress. I have seen the soaparchives page at wordpress, though, and had fun catching myself up :) |
