Just watched this and just wanted to know peoples thoughts.

It is pretty disturbing someone getting possessed by the devil. Could this all be for real?

I'm not sure what I think about the whole "possession" phenomena. I believe in a higher power, so I certainly think there must be a counterpart, but I don't want to get into a theological debate on the boards.

In any case, the possession segments are interesting.

I've seen this one. I found it to be very stupid.

I don't believe this story for a second. I believe the woman did a fine job pretending to be possessed by the devil. She didn't even bother to be original, she just went ahead using the same voice as the exorcist movie. If you're gonna make something up, at least make it plausible and believeable. I think UM just aired this episode as a filler coz nothing else was coming up or something. A pretty pathetic case and one that UM should have ignored.

I've seen this sort of thing before on programs here in Aus like The extraordinary which was on about 10 years ago. The case did seem a little strange. If it's all a hoax then they did a reasonable job setting it up with the priest and everything.
At the end they mentioned that she now has a part time job the first job she has had in 12 years. So who was looking after her in those 12 years? Who was paying for her stuff?
Weird.
Plus it seems quite strange when she was trying to hypnotize someone and then the thing she was using seemed to somehow possess her? Really strange!!

The HOPE people are real. I believe they perform exorcisms and faith healing and all that crap. I just don't believe for a second the woman featured in the story is possessed by the devil. I think she is either acting, or is simply suffering from a mental illness. I'd say she's most likely acting.
