I FINALLY got the chance to view "Surviving Gilligan's Island" today. It was really good, but very touching and sad at the end. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen it and what they thought of it.
I was ready to cry and laugh when they reinacted Jim Backus giving his last lines as Mr. Howell, "Well, that's how they do it in Peru."
Just wondering what anyone thought about it. I enjoyed it and thought it was very touching and cute.:crazy:

Well, it was interseting, but they stiffed Tina Louise. I would have liked to see it more about the entire cast and not really just about her. Most of the info comes from Sherwood Schwartz's book so I already new about 98% of the info, but I liked it. It was fun watching it live. I got the DVD too :D

I purchased it online in 2002, but I don't think it has been in print since at least 2004. Ebay has the VHS's once in a while, but for some reason they DVD's are harder to find.

It is a shame too because it has some bonus features like bloopers and more of Dawn Wells home movies.

There's DVDs floating around on ebay too, but they are a bit more expensive than the VHS. ($30 vs. $3 or thereabouts) I was wondering if the DVD was worth the extra money. Thank you GF for the tip. :)

Arisian did a great job on it. The menus are interactive too and have triva (very easy trivia) and an episode guide too. I think I only paid 12 dollars for it when it came out though. I didn't realize how short it would be in production for.
