Knowing the way TBS works now, it's probably "Will & Grace" or something like that; Overrated shows that air on other Networks.

Lifetime has rights I think. ^^

I hope that it is an 80's Sitcom

I hope it's Gimme a Break, as that was rumored back when NewsRadio joined the lineup, but it's probably a more recent '90s sitcom, although they are airing most of them as it is.

When is this scheduled to start

They just say "a sitcom"? No other clues?

It starts March 12. But I think it'll be more Steve Harvey, meaning 1-3pm.

What? That's horrible. I hope that is not the case. We need something fresh.

So, I am assuming that TBS had the rights to air 4 episodes of Home Improvement for a couple of months....it started in October 2006. Perhaps it is Home Improvement moving from 12pm to 2 pm.

I think TBS should have Classic Show's on there Schedule

It appears that Steve Harvey will air for 2 hours starting March 12. You can find this by looking at Steve Harvey episode guide at TBS.com.

I thought so. It would have made no sense to air an older show between Harvey and Home Improvement.

What a disappointment! Nothing against Steve Harvey, but I was hoping for a new show.

TBS has bought The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air once again. The show will return to TBS on Tuesday, May 1 airing weekdays at 2 & 2:30 p.m. ET, replacing the second hour of The Steve Harvey Show, which will still air in the 1 p.m. hour.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will still air on Nick at Nite and The N.

OH MY GOD, NOOOOO! Are we EVER going to get a break from this show??? TBS might as well get the rights to Full House and Roseane again too. Things just never change. Now networks are buying back their old/recycled shows. UNREAL!

I think TBS did have Full House and Roseanne a few years ago, at least they restrict their shows to 2 a day, TBS also shows Cosby at 5am

TBS did have Full House weekday's at 3:00 pm Central Time

Full House was dropped either in 2003 or 2004 when it came to Nick@Nite.

I can't remember when Roseanne ended on TBS, but I think it was around the time Nick@Nite got the show.

I'm not at all surprised TBS brought back Fresh Prince. I like the show, I do, but it's really becoming badly overexposed.

I believe Full House Roseanne and Fresh Prince were dropped when they came to Nick at Nite.
I was hoping for something more like a different world since it no longer airs on Nick at Nite and on the-n it only airs on saturdays at 3:00 am

Now Fresh Prince is not exclusive to Viacom (Nick at Nite, The N, TV Land, etc) anymore. TBS has rights for the daypart and Nick at Nite/The N the evening hours.

All the major shows on Nick at Nite are shared now: Roseanne on Oxygen (daytime) and Nick at Nite (primetime), Full House on ABC Family (daytime) and Nick at Nite (primetime), Cosby Show on TBS/WGN (daytime) and Nick at Nite (primetime). Even some minor shows like Mad About You and A Different World are shared (both with Oxygen). The only Nick at Nite shows not shared are Murphy Brown and Designing Women. Growing Pains is tricky to explain. ION can air it, but that is a broadcast channel, so it is technically exclusive to Nick at Nite for cable (they have a 4-year deal through Feb. 2011).

At least they can't go three ways with these shows.

I'm almost positive Roseanne's last airing was in very early 2004 on TBS.

Anyways, I cannot believe TBS did this. I always enjoyed watching the network, for its wide variety of shows, from Saved by the Bell to The Steve Harvey Show, but now it is just another cable network becoming dependent on ratings. It sees how well it does on NAN, so it wants Fresh prince for their own network, which really bothers me. Now, since Fresh Prince is so overexposed, its DVD sales are bombing.

I just wish TBS could have brought a new show to their lineup that doesn't air on any other network, like Who's the Boss.

So did I miss the announcement? Is "NewsRadio" still on TBS? I'm at work at that time, so I don't get to see it anyways, but I'm curious. Because wasn't it on at 1 or 1:30? And now it's Steve Harvey!

NewsRadio is at noon. And it will remain.

I remember TBS stopped airing Roseanne just a few days before it went to Nick@Nite.

I liked Roseanne on TBS. I liked when they aired 3 episode blocks every day.

Roseanne and Full House left TBS in 2003. I know Roseanne ran up until September. I believe Full House left in the spring of that year, and was brought over to N@N in October.

And I agree, The Fresh Prince is REALLY overexposed. It`s now on 3 cable networks!

They can't do three way deals, so Roseanne and Full House have no chance. Fresh Prince was just on Viacom stations.

Good!

I think TBS should have bought the rights to Murphy Brown instead, pairing it with Newsradio in the afternoon.

KrisMunroe

Roseanne aired on TBS from September 1998 at 6:05 and 6:35 pm/ct. It then moved to 5:05 and 5:35 pm/ct in 1999. Then in 2002, it aired 5:30 and 6:30 pm and then it was back on at 5 and 5:30 in the summer of 2002. Then in October 2002, it moved to 2:30 and 3:00 and in January it added an extra episode at 2. It left TBS in September 2003.
