View Full Version : Which sitcom character would you like for a spouse?

If I could have a TV sitcom character for a husband, I have it narrowed down to two choices:

1. Darrin Stephens from Bewitched (as played by Dick York). Darrin #1 was such a romantic; so much in love with his wife Samantha. Even though he was always putting up with a pushy boss and his wacky, witchly in-laws, there was nothing that would keep him away from Sam. Besides, the fun in watching Sam and Darrin fight was waiting for them to kiss and make up!! :happyface

2. Det. Sgt. Chano Amenguale from Barney Miller (Gregory Sierra). I must admit, ever since I first rented the first season of Barney Miller from the library, I've had a crush on Gregory Sierra. So much so that I looked up his filmography on imdb and rented/taped everything on that list I could find. His character Chano had a strong sense of right and wrong, and was serious when it came to getting rid of crime and injustice. But he also had a great sense of humor and fun (he enjoyed going dancing), and you could tell he knew how to treat a woman right. It's too bad that Chano was written out of the show after Season 2. I would have loved to see him grow and develop as the seasons went on.

So, who's your pick (or picks)? ;)

Matthew Perry(Chandler Bing on Friends) because he was so sweet to Monica and I thought that he was really romantic.
Donald Hollinger - That Girl because he is so sweet and really adorable.

Samantha from Bewitched would be a good wife, she is very supportive and wants to make her hubby happy.

I would take Polly, Chip's wife on "My Three Sons", played on the show by Ronne Troup, because she was beautiful, smart, and very sweet!

I'd echo that!

I'll also add: Greg from Dharma and Greg...he's patient and understanding, smart and hard-working.

Well, I have to have someone off MASH as it is my favorite show. I'd like Trapper (as he was very hot, smart, and funny), but he wasn't exactly faithful to his wife on the show...so I'd guess I'd take Klinger lol! I'm not really in to men dressing like women or anything, but that shows dedication and passion lol!

I'd like to add Enos Strate from Dukes of Hazzard - he may have been a bumbler and a klutz, but he was also sweet, gentle, polite, loving, selfless and true. He'd make a good husband.

Jack Tripper (John Ritter) - Three's Company/Three's a Crowd
Andy Travis (Gary Sandy) - WKRP in Cincinnati
Luke Duke (Tom Wopat) - The Dukes of Hazzard
David Hogan (Jason Bateman) - The Hogan Family
Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) - Full House

I'd have to pick Maxwell Sheffield from The Nanny. I know he's kind of repressed, but that accent, *Sigh* hehe. Plus he's loaded, so that's not bad. I also think Joe Hackett from Wings is really cute, but I know being as disorganized as I am, it wouldn't exactly work out. hehe.
