This is how I feel today plus being sick with a cold mushed in together. Ack. I feel like a total zombie. I wish I could get some more sleep. I just need about 3-4 more hours today...please??? :( Ireneparalegal 01-30-2007, 12:44 PM Watch this very interesting, crazy ass movie and you will find out what can happen if you don't get sleep...mind you, the guy who stars in this movie, lost over 50 pounds to play this role, so he could give accuracy to what happens physically to the body when one doesn't get sleep: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808540051/info tdf4077 01-30-2007, 01:19 PM I once read that driving with too little sleep can have hte same effects as driving drunk in that you have delayed reaction time, etc. swedeace 01-30-2007, 04:40 PM I once read that driving with too little sleep can have hte same effects as driving drunk in that you have delayed reaction time, etc. I believe this. The attention span is not focusing as much. tdf4077 01-30-2007, 05:18 PM Well, imagine driving without enough sleep AND talking on your cell phone! I am Roboto 01-31-2007, 02:59 AM They have a drug out now called Provigil (modafinil) that can be prescribed for daytime sleepiness and cut the risks of driving, ect when sleep isnt an option. It's not like the older amphetamine stimulants - there is no high, and to the best knowledge no long term effects. freshprinceofLA 01-31-2007, 05:18 AM On good morning america one time they were talking about this. They said even if you miss a few hrs of sleep that night the next day you'll feel as if you haven't slept for a month. Also they said that taking a 26 min nap will boost your preformance by 34 %. I'm in highschool and I only get like 6 hrs often times yesturday it was 3 or 4, last friday it was 2 hrs. But on the weekends I get more than enough sleep. |
