I've seen a forum for almost every sitcom out there (which is great, btw) But there's no board for my favourite show -- The Simpsons http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif
How much trouble would it be to make a board for this hilarious show??

If you want to post about "Simpsons", go to Chit Chat. Why we dont have a message board for "Simpsons" is 'cause it aint a TV sitcom. It's a cartoon....
D'oh!
I will probably add The Simpsons to the directory and a message board, but my question is if other cartoons like The Jetsons or The Flintstones could be considered sitcoms? Where do I draw the line?
Besides The Greatest American Hero, The Simpsons is the most requested show to be added..

I don't see a problem with having message boards for other cartoons. We already have shows like the Wonder Years, which really don't fit the stereotypical ideals of what a sitcom is supposed to be. There was no studio audience or a laugh track, and it was pretty much just a half hour version of what Freaks and Geeks was (which NBC execs had labeled a "Comma", half drama-half comedy).
And who cares if they're cartoons. Anyone who watched the last few seasons of Married with Children knows that that had pretty much just become a live action cartoon. Al fell off his roof numerous times, head first no less, and sustained little or no injuries. He and other members of No Ma'am were constantly getting electrecuted, and Bud even jumped out of an airplane and survived when his chute didn't open and was given mouth to mouth by a drunken sea captain.

TJ,
You asked where to draw the line for cartoons to be accepted on this board. Well, as far as The Flintstones is concerned, you should probably stick to the original series, because unlike the various spin-offs, and specials, this was an adult cartoon, which just happened to appeal to kids. The same goes for The Simpsons, Wait 'til Your Father Gets Home, Futurama, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Roman Holiday, and Daria. Okay, Daria is more geared towards teenagers, but it's got intelligence tha appeals to many adults. Check out the ages of the people who go on Daria fan boards if you don't believe me. I'm not so sure that The Jetsons would fall under the same category, even if it's the same kind of show as The Flintstones, which takes place in the exact opposite end of the timeline.
I hope this has some influence on your decision,

The only reason we don't have a board for the Simpsons is because for one they aren't a sitcom they are cartoons. Second of all, they aren't good, they are stupid. But, that is my opinion. I probably shouldn't post my opinion on that show but If I were to then you wouldn't like the rest of it... Besides it isn't even considered a show on my list, more like a gift from H***.
