Now, I know the old Jeannie vs. Samantha (or Samantha vs. Jeannie - however you want to put it), who's more powerful? debate has been hashed and rehashed numerous times. But I was thinking that we could do it in a different manner this time, and not so much in a manner of who could beat who in a fight (which is... unlikely to happen, at best - why, pray tell, would they get into a fight?), but more a matter of which demonstrated feats we have seen each do, on screen.
This will be a great opportunity to collect a single unified list of trivia on Samantha's and Jeannie's demonstrated feats and abilities. As well as shown weaknesses. The only way this will work is through a group effort, so please chime in! It doesn't matter if you're only a Jeannie fan, or only a Bewitched fan, as long as you're knowledgeable about either (or both!) series, please join us.
So to recap: this is not a debate about: whether Bewitched or IDOJ is a better series (or which one is more well-liked, or which one is less dated, or which one has better special effects, or which one is better written, or which one is .... etc.); whether Samantha could beat Jeannie, or vice versa, in a one-on-one fight; Jeannie's intelligence (which I personally think there's nothing wrong with) or IQ; the personalities of Samantha or Jeannie; etc.
In fact this is not a debate at all. I just thought it'd be fun to put them up together to serve as a reference for Bewitched and Jeannie fans in the future.
I'll be making a first post soon.

I'll start of with a Jeannie post. I'll be making an alphabetical list, below, of the feats or abilities I've seen Jeannie do or demonstrate on screen. When future posters would like to add to my list, please copy and paste the same list, and add your new additions in the appropriate (alphabetically speaking) place in the list.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - Jeannie's Demonstrated Feats, Abilities, and Weaknesses
Invisibility - Jeannie has been shown to be able to disappear into thin air - without teleporting out, or turning into smoke, but just vanishing to the human eye while actually remaining in the same place - on numerous occasions, and appears to be able to do so easily just by blinking her eyes - no special preparation or focus required (she's often done her disappearing act instantly as a matter of second nature when surprised by a person - usually Dr. Bellows - entering). Jeannie is also able to move around while invisible - she's not rooted to the same spot.
Matter Manipulation - Is one of Jeannie's most classic powers. Manipulation of matter and energy with a blink of the eye is how she 'cooks up' Nelson's breakfast each morning, how she created priceless art, and later sabotaged it, when that IRS agent visited, how she created a swimming pool in Nelson's backyard, how she created a mansion - including simulated live servants - for Healey, etc. There appears to be no limit to her matter manipulation, although she did say to Nelson that she had never been worked so hard before (about Healey's demands). Still, she never said she was tired or near exhaustion - simply being worked hard, especially as compared to Nelson who only asks for meals and the occasional teleportation, doesn't imply she was reaching her limits.
Miniaturization - Jeannie has been shown to be able to miniaturize herself into around the size of a pen. She has hidden in Major Nelson's shirt pocket on numerous occasions. Again, Jeannie appears to retain all normal powers and mobility when miniaturized.
Teleportation - One of the classic 'Jeannie' tricks, Jeannie is often seen teleporting herself and Major Nelson around with a simple blink of the eyes. Distance does not appear to be an issue - Baghdad, Iraq is easily reachable from Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA.
Time Manipulation - Jeannie can apparently 'rewind' time (demonstrated at least twice in the first season) and also create temporal loops of a sort (demonstrated when she made it so it was always Sunday; later she also added an extra Monday). The time rewinding can be interpreted as simply messing with the memories and locations of a lot of people, and not as actual rewinding of time, but the temporal loops appear to be genuine - I don't think even Jeannie could continuously control that many people, nor did it look like she was controlling that many people.
Time Travel - Jeannie has once transported both herself and then-Captain Nelson over 2000 years into the past without displaying special strain or exertion. (She spatially displaced them during the time travel, too.) Why do I say over 2000? Well, she was talking about the actions of a man at the market she had been at, and we know Jeannie was trapped in her bottle for 2000 years - hence, she had to have last been at the market over 2000 years ago. While Nelson and Jeannie were temporally displaced, outside (in the 'current' time), time went on as usual. Jeannie appears able to travel to the future as well. Once, she accidentally blinked in a newpaper from one day in the future.
Weather Manipulation - She has been able to make it hot in Alaska, flooded in the Sahara, and snowing in the tropics. Localized weather doesn't appear to present issues either - a simple blink made it so snow was falling on Nelson's house in July. She was able to make a thunderstorm go away by blinking. (And let's not forget how it snowed later on in Bellows' office!) And although she traveled to the tropics, Alaska, and the Sahara to change the weather in those areas, she was probably just checking up and fine tuning the results; she was perfectly able to make it rain in Alabama by blinking from Nelson's office in Florida.
