wezzyfan 01-28-2007, 03:03 PM That Dosen't Matter I Ment Any Show That Had Black Actor In The Lead Role.
The Cosby Show Is A Black Show And It Still Had White Actors Recuring GuestStar.
Cosby Had A All Nearly Black Cast. And It Doesn't Matter As Long As The Show Have Black Character In The Lead Role. Like The Jeffersons. So Just vote

Thea and Roc
If we are talking about sitcoms in which the main character is Black:
Chef

Thea was your favorite? But it only had ONE season-lol

Among my favorite dramas was South Central -among the best acted dramas ever on TV. I really liked the Nancy Walker show - well ahead of its time. Alien Nation was is my absolute favorite SciFi show. Fawlty Towers is considered by critics as the best sitcom ever (and is among my favorites) and it only had 12 episodes. On the other hand Hee Haw was on for over 20 years, but you couldn't pay me to watch it. My tastes just to not match those of main stream America :D
Brian Damage 01-28-2007, 06:01 PM Good Times was the best.
TVFactFan 01-28-2007, 06:17 PM Good Times was the best.
It would have been if Penny never existed but since she did then Good Times is behind Sanford and Son and the Jeffersons-lol
icecream 01-28-2007, 11:56 PM Benson is the best. After that is The Cosby Show and Everybody Hates Chris (which isn't listed)

No, when it came out it was in the summer, and I was going to the 8th grade. So I remember South Central, it wasn't on long but it was a great show.

I know, I was just starting to get into South Central when FOX cancelled it. I think the network was afraid of the realism it portayed.

I absolutely agree - it was a stark show; there were a number of shows that portrayed inner city life from the police perspective, from a comedy perspective, but this was the first show that realistically showed it as a survival experience.

I actually liked Charlie and Company, Out All Night. Sugar and Spice wasn't bad. That was with two black sisters wasn't it? I seen it once, and when I was about to watch it again, it got cancelled. That one ep I saw was watchable.

I LOVED Cosby and Out All Night....The Steve Havey Show was just plain stupid and I don't think it was watchable at all. I'm surprised it stayed on as long as it did.
Michael72581 01-30-2007, 02:20 AM Here is my list of the top 5 black sitcoms in all of television. They are arranged according to which one came out first, but the number 1 best black sitcom in all of television is "Sanford And Son".
1. Amos N Andy
2. Sanford And Son
3. The Jeffersons
4. What's Happening!!
5. The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air
TheLandfordLunchBox 02-02-2007, 03:34 PM Family Matters
JuicyCoutureGirl 02-02-2007, 05:19 PM Steve Harvey is one annoying M***F***!
 I thought I was the only one who thought he was annoying, never liked the show.
Hands down A Different World all the way! I liked Out All Night but I forgot what Sugar and Spice was about.
Out of all these shows listed, I only seen five. Like I said in another post, I wasn't allowed to watch "black" shows growing up.

I couldn't get into ADW because there were no STRONG Black Males, just NERDS. Sinbad was cool but he wasn't featured as much

A Different World is another one of my favorite shows. I miss shows like that, there weren't anyone playing the dumb one everyone was smart. There weren't anyone acting stupid all the time. It was just a great funny show.

Somebody bawl for Beulah? Now that's funny. And that Lightning the janitor on Amos and Andy cracked me up. The Kingfish? Funniest black character ever!
By the way, what is a wezzy fan anyway? Who's wezzy?

LOUISE JEFFERSON...from The Jeffersons aka Weezy.
catlover79 02-03-2007, 01:33 PM Sanford & Son. Politically incorrect, hysterically funny...what more can you ask for???

Classicshowsgurl15 02-03-2007, 07:52 PM I put Family Matters. I was really hard because I like The Cosby Show too. They are both my favorite Black Shows.
JuicyCoutureGirl 02-04-2007, 01:39 AM I couldn't get into ADW because there were no STRONG Black Males, just NERDS. Sinbad was cool but he wasn't featured as much
 Dwayne was the only nerd until at least the end of season two or whenever he dated Kinu. Sinbad a.k.a Walter was too funny, I was sad that he left the show.
JuicyCoutureGirl 02-04-2007, 01:45 AM A Different World is another one of my favorite shows. I miss shows like that, there weren't anyone playing the dumb one everyone was smart. There weren't anyone acting stupid all the time. It was just a great funny show.
I was into that show, no one could bother me once the theme song came on. Whitley and Freddie were my favorites, and Walter's jokes were the s**t. I didn't like how strong independent Jalessa became a whiny, can't cook, softie once she married Cornel Taylor.

I totally agree, I hated how they made Jaleesa act once she got with Col. Taylor and I also hate how fast they got together. They went out on one date and then all of a sudden over the summer they got married. Also I didn't like Freddie's and Ron's relationship, it just didn't work for me.

Wow, I forgot about Freddie and Ron. Hated it to the core, I didn't care for Kim and Ron either. Ron was better off chasing down the ladies than date two best friends.
Zoneboy 02-04-2007, 04:01 AM Amos 'N' Andy
Sanford And Son
Will and Grace Fanatic 02-04-2007, 10:29 AM I'd say the Jefferson's followed by Sanford and Son.
George Yurich 02-04-2007, 11:01 AM The best Black situation comedy was Sanford And Son.

Hey, I apologize. Reading the above post it's obvious that English is not your first language, or second for that matter. I don't want to make fun of someone who's foreign born.

I thought it stood for Under-Paid N- well, you know. I liked Living Single...I was secretly waiting for QL to make a move on one of the other girls. Then Sinclair got fat and I stopped caring.
