Amazon.com has a Brady Bunch "Complete Series Pack 1-5" in regular packaging for $147.99. There has been much talk about the future release of the "Complete Series 1-5" with shag packaging. Amazon has it available for pre-order for $99.69.

So what they are saying is: I can buy the set right now for $147.99 in a standard package, or I can wait and pay $99.69 for a furry thing that may not sit on a shelf conveniently.

Are these two products the same except for packaging? Why would there be a $50 difference?
