It is basically the same as the aired pilot just with additional scenes and extensions of some scenes. Shirley's name was Connie. The coda is a little more involved in that for the one that aired, we only see the girl drummer. In the unaired version, there is a scene of her being on a date with, ironically, Jack Cassidy. The end credits are played over the bus driving down the road as well. There are a few other things but I don't have it in front of me. Anybody else? I think it was made sometime in late 1969 but I don't know that for sure. AB 02-05-2007, 05:32 PM There is an unaired pilot for the P Family. HelloLarry 02-07-2007, 02:26 PM No it is not...its in the hands of private collectors. Now I don't know who actually 'owns' it but I think said person was approached when they were assembling season one and asked for too much money. That could be a rumor, I don't know that for sure but that is what I heard. AB 02-07-2007, 04:51 PM So we probably won't get to see it? I was hoping it would be included on one of the DVD's. HelloLarry 02-10-2007, 10:08 PM I would say no. It appears to me at least that they are scaling down the extras on all subsequent releases so it is doubtful that this would be thrown on one of the season sets. Who knows but I wouldn't hold my breath. I'll just be happy to have the uncut episodes come out on DVD. Season 3 is allegedly due out this year. Just a rumor at this point with no confirmation. Sony is very wierd about their DVD releases. |
