Doug Williams was a back-up QB heading into the Superbowl, so the stupid NY Daily News doesn't know what they are talking about. Anyway, he had an MVP type game, and the first black QB to win the SB, so they need to shut the F*uck up!

Actually Doug was just good enough to win for 5 weeks and that next season when it was announced he was the starting QB he was unable to do anything-lol And you of all people should remember that Garfieldkool, that 1988 season for Skins fans was Soooooooooooooooooooo disappointing

I am aware of that, but to rate him that high among bad Superbowl QBs is ridiculous, epecially when he outplayed the great John Elway in '88. If Rex Grossman wouldn't have been on that list, Doug would have been number 1. See, they didn't want to give the first black QB to win the SB his due, but they are ready to rate him #1 as far as a bad SB QB. Just remember, you are black first, an athlete last.

Doug proved he was not a good QB because he couldn't lead the Skins back to the playoffs in the 88 and 89 season. Which is why he was CUT. The one good thing about Doug's Career was that he was undefeated against the Eagles-LOL

It's a shame he couldn't lead the Redskins back to the super bowl after he won a super bowl. I think the Redskins did him wrong by letting him go. He never did get picked up by another NFL team. Rex Grossman better play good this weekend because i picked Chicago to win. I got a feeling he's gonna mess up. Who is Chicago's backup quarterback?

Isiahthoms, Doug Williams had less mobility than Eli Manning so that' why he was never picked up by another team. He didn't even have enough mobility to BUY TIME. If he wasn't WELL PROTECTED then he was useless

Brian Griese is the backup.

He played in 6 games, starting none.

He is a veteran starter though.
