Meet Jill

Jodie Sweetin plays Jill Conner, a newly single mother with a newborn daughter, Riley. Jill and her daughter, Riley live with Jill's newly-divorced sister, Nicole (Paula Marshall) in her Chicago loft apartment. Nicole is a successful lawyer, as Jill is a former cocktail waitress-who let go after her not-so-secret affair with her married boss gets out. After being stressed out by being unemployed and a new single mom, Nicole advises Jill to attend a single mothers support group. Jill is soon befriended by two fellow single mothers: Jeannie Feuerstein (Melissa Joan Hart) and Dani Moore (Essence Atkins). Jeannie is a hardworking radio personality and single mom to a set of twin girls: Maddie and Morgan (aged 5). Dani is a struggling single mom of an 2 year old boy, Damien. Dani works part-time as a Certified Nursing Assistant and has dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse someday. Jill finds support and friends in Dani and Jeannie.

Episodes

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
After learning her boss has fired her for their secret affair is leaking out, Jill takes Nicole's advice to attend a single mothers support group. Jill is quickly befriended by Jeannie and Dani, who take her "under their wing".

Ep2: Exes and Uh-Ohs:
Nicole confesses to Jill that she has made a huge mistake: she bumped into her ex-husband, Tim (Steven Weber), and they ended up sleeping together. Nicole confesses that she fears she might become "weak in the knees" again the next time she bumps into her cheating ex-husband. Meanwhile, Jeannie is up for a promotion at her radio station job, yet ends up waiting on pins-and-needles until she is granted the promotion (which she does).

Ep3: Strugglers and Sisters:
Dani turns to Jeannie and Jill for support when she feels she is a "bad mom" and unable to handle the stress of being a single mom. Meanwhile, Jill and Nicole experience a little sibling rivalry when "the new tenant" who moved across the hall is a hunky doctor named Brian (Dan Cortese)--who informs the feuding sisters that he's gay.
