Don't feel bad, wait till they start hiring younger than you, then you'll REALLY start to realize your age. LOL

When the players you idolized as a kid start making the Hall of Fame after 20 year careers, THAT'S also a sign that it's all downhill from here

Also, when your idols turn 60, wow, that's a strange feeling... I grew up watching Tom Seaver in the late 60s and through the 70s, and when he turned 60 in November of 2004... I couldn't believe it! I remember seeing him pitch at Shea like it was yesterday.

And you're right, 31 seems incredibly young to be an NFL coach, especially when you consider how many players in this league are older than that!

I can see some of his players now... "Listen coach, you can't tell ME what to do... I was already a pee-wee league star when you were still in diapers, crawling around in your little play-pen!"

I was going to say a black coach would never get hired that young, but the Steelers hired 34 year-old Mike Tomlin.....to my surprise, based on the history of that franchise and he came from outside the organization.

Yeah but Pittsburgh and the Rooney's were behind that rule that you have to interview a black candidate when interviewing coaches. So it's not that surprising. Besides, look at how well the black coaches are doing in the league. Soon hopefully we wont have to talk about their color. They'll just be great coaches.

The raiders were desperate here. I think they should have hired their defensive coordinator bob ryan. he had that D playing pretty good. Another move by that idiot al davis
