I never saw Mork and Mindy until syndication in the mid-80s. Never having had cable, that's the last time I *saw* this show, the mid-80s! But one episode has stayed with me since then.

I don't remember the name of the episode, but it's the first time I heard of the great concept known as "kiss and make up". Someone tells this to Mork and he does everything he can to make Mindy mad so he can test out this theory himself.   This I learned at the tender age of 7.

Now that the series is now on DVD, maybe I should check it out and see what my adult eyes think of it. What are your thoughts on this all-important episode? :D

The name of that episode is "Stark Raving Mork". I just watched this episode tonight and I thought it was pretty good. Mork's plan backfires though as he pisses Mindy off and she throws him out of the house. The best part was when Mork kept insulting Mindy and threw all the food she made for supper on the floor. Mindy was funny too when she made fun of Mork's supenders and his voice.

Another interesting thing about this episode is it marks the first appearances of Remo DaVinci(Jay Thomas) his sister Jean(Gina Hecht) and the New York Deli, which Remo runs.

Thanks for that info, Skywalker! I ordered the first two seasons from the library, and once I watch this episode I will share my thoughts. Thanks again!

I just watched the episode tonight. I was a bit bummed - it wasn't as funny as I remembered. That said, the scene where Mork throws Mindy's dinner all over the floor and makes fun of her looks is funny - but it's even better when Mindy yanks his suspenders so they snap back and hit him. Her imitation of Mork's voice also made me laugh, especially the "Truman Capote on helium" reference.
