This may have already been answered somewhere, but I was wondering why in the later seasons Nancy McKeon is introduced last during the opening credits (after George Clooney and Mackenzie Astin) as "and Nancy McKeon as Jo."

They did the same thing with Valerie Bertinelli on "One Day at a Time". Generally, the most popular cast member is added at the end with the "as ____" listed. I think she deserved it. When her parents signed her up to do the show, I don't know if it was by accident or on purpose, but she was signed at the absolute minimum salary that actors can receive. The other girls' salaries were much higher. Nancy stayed at that same minimum wage until she threatened to quit after about four or five years. I even read an article years and years ago that said she had to work a weekend job during her first two years on the show. That's how little she was paid. NM received the most fan mail so I suppose the least they could do for her is put her in the "prestigious" end spot.

Oh, okay, thanks. I didn't know it was an honor thing. Makes much more sense to me now haha. I never used to understand that when I watched it before.
