I hope we hear an announcement soon. I'm eager to buy Season 4. It has one of my all-time favorites on it (Take My Finals, Please). I really want the whole series but I'm soooo looking forward to this season. I hope they include the Paris movie as well. It would be a great selling incentive for the set. This is the end of the Eastland cafeteria years. Then, it's on to Edna's Edibles!!! I can't wait. I hope we get, at least, 2 sets this year. :)

I love the finals ep. too but yeah I agree!

Season 4 had many good episodes along with "Take My Finals", there was also "Magnificant Obsession", "Teachers Pet", "Let's Party", "A Royal Pain" (with Heather McAdam), and the "Graduation" episodes.

Although I would love for season 4 to come out ASAP, I am willing to wait a little longer (not too long though) if it allows for extras such as interviews, commentaries, bloopers etc. to be put on the season 4 disc. I agree, the Paris movie would be a great add on to.

I think we need to start pumping up the hype for Season 4. I want the next season on dvd soon. Does Sony have a feedback e-mail where you can let them know your interest in their releases? I was hoping we would get Season 5 by October for "The Halloween Show" but I'd be happy if we got it by November for "The Christmas Show". :)

It was five months between the first DVD release and the second, so basing my guess on that, I'd say March or April. I agree that I too would wait if it meant more features (highlights from the press tour, etc.).

Sony has announced their titles through April. So it looks like we're looking at May or June now. I just hope it's soon. I wanted to get the next season after that before Christmas so we can have the Christmas episode by December. :santa:

I have a bad feeling that we are not going to see season four until later this year. Sony seems really slow in releasing TV DVDs. Season three wasn't even supposed to be released until early this year, but Sony moved it up to October so that it would be on shelves for the holiday season.

I am in the middle of cramming for a final and was using Wikipedia to look something up, which reminded me of something I saw on there yesterday about FOL. I don't know how long they have had this on their website, but according to them, there are plans to release seasons 4-9 "soon." I don't remember seeing that when I looked on there a few weeks ago to see if there was any season 4 news, but I could be mistaken. Oh well, thought I'd take a break from studying to post the info.

It would be fantastic if they released the entire series in a complete set. I, for one, would definitely buy it without hesitation. :)

I love watching my dvd sets, but sometimes, I pick up the boxes they came in, and it's so difficult to choose the one i want to see because I've seen all of them so many times, and sometimes it gets tiring watching the same ones over and over again! Lol...and sometimes I get the urge to watch a fourth season episode, like 'Take my Finals, please', but I can't because I never thought of recording the shows when it was on N@N and I never saw the marathon they gave a while back...So I as soon as they annouce it coming out on dvd, I'm preordering mines so that I get it on the exact day it come out. :)

I keep getting my hopes up, and keep getting disappointed.:(

I wouldnt believe anything Wikipedia has to say, they are known for false info. Unless we here it from Sony then dont believe any rumours, especially from Wikipedia.

You're probably right. I was hoping that we would get both seasons four and five this year, but I doesn't look like that will happen.

I hope season 4 doesn't come out 2 late, I'm excited to see the episodes.

I think you're right! I haven't seen any TV shows on DVDs announced by Sony in a while. I even EMailed Sony concerning new and future season releases on DVD, and this is what they told me. "Right now, ever since our release of our overly hyped Playstation 3 game console and the first commercial Blue Ray players, we now have 99% of our resources dedicated to these two things and dedicating 99.5% of our Sony staff to making and publishing games for our Playstation 3 game console and releasing Columbia-TriStar movies onto Blue-Ray disks."

So that EMail reply they gave me tells me that even they don't know for sure when any future Sony TV show seasons on DVD(including Facts of Life) will be released. So far I'm hoping they release FOL Season 4 sometime before July. And, also, I don't know why Sony Corp. just don't divide their staff 3 or 4 way, with 1/4 being devoted to TV show and seasons on DVD, 1/4 for the Movies, 1/4 for Blue Ray and Technolegy, and 1/4 on their Playstation 3 and SCEA games campaign, not 99.5% on the latter 2.

I hope we get Season 4 WITH FoL Goes To Paris sometime this summer, worst case scenario Fall 2007. By the rate we are going, we should get the complete collection of FoL by 2010 or worse!

tvshowsondvd.com had several Sony news posts today and FOL was NOT one of them. Maybe it will be in their next batch. June is a big release month for Sony. Hopefully, July will be too. I'm hoping for the same tron1971.

Sorry about that Jo/Blair fan. I just wanted to get the "where is Season 4?" thread going again so we can get the good vibes around it and, hopefully, get Sony to release it soon. FOL needs to be released at a better pace so we can get more of the series out on dvd. If FOL belonged to Anchor Bay, you can bet we would have, at least, up to Season 5 by now. This 6-month plus wait is so frustrating.

yeah I know its frusterating but I still havent found season 3 yet and thats making me pissy and even if I found it moms a witch and thinks that buying CDs and DVD's are a waste of time and i should be saving my money for gas and insurance, which is true but still, I need to live a little!

My bet to why we haven't see a fourth season set yet is because Sony is trying to get the rights to the Paris movie. Things like that are hard to get, so that's probably the hold up.

And Sony has already announced its releases for August and September, and still nothing on this show. It seems the only 2 shows they are still releasing are I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched. But, it's Sony we're talking about . . . the laziest, most slack-off company out there.

I think it's true because it doesn't say Citation needed next to the DVD news. That means they already have a source of information, so it should be true.

Don't normally post in the FOL section - but yes I am a fan of the show and my FOL dvd collection will start at season 4 - so hurry up Sony - a whole new catchment of buyers will open up with the latter seasons!!!

Sony has a lot of different groups out there to market this show to. For different seasons, a whole bunch of new customers may join in. You know a lot of George Clooney fans will purchase the seasons he was a part of. But they need to move quicker with this one. It's already been too long between the release of Season 3 and the release of Season 4. I thought we would have heard something on this by now.
