Has anyone heard about a fix for this episode? Some people say there is a jumpy or jittery picture at one point. Paramount has reissued the disc for "Lucy's Italian Movie" where the subtitles randomly pop up.

I would like to buy the Lucy DVD's, and I know it wouldn't ruin my viewing experience, but it would be one less thing to folow up on...

I re-watched "Lucy Meets the Queen," and I didn't notice a jumpy or jittery picture. Maybe they fixed it by the time I bought the complete series boxed set.

As far as the subtitles in "Lucy's Italian Movie," did the Paramount re-issue omit the subtitles? I think they were originally put in to help explain how the story evolved through that scene. Notice that when it was just the grape-stomping woman rambling on, or when the woman is on the phone in the other Italian one, "Lucy Gets Homesick" they didn't use subtitles, just like when Ricky rants in Spanish. What they say doesn't effect the story so we don't need to know.

Thanks for clearing that up. I watched "Lucy Meets the Queen" again at the scene they mentioned and there were no glitches.

I have watched my entire set over and over and haven't found any technical problems. My guess is the problems got ironed out, so now it's time for you to add Lucy to your collection. And remember, seasons 7-9 (the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour) come out around March 13th.

Thank you, too! That's good to know. I would like to buy all the Lucy seasons at once, so I'm gonna see if they release them all (including the Lucy-Desi Hours) in a set like they did with season 1-6 of ILL. Until then, I will continue to borrow them from my local library.
