That might be hard to find out. UM seldom did a good job of properly crediting all those involved in the reenactments. Then again, UM reenactors often aren't the best actors, so perhaps that is why.

Haha, that blond haired robber looks like he was on drugs or something. I especially like the part where he "commands" that woman to pick up her dropped ring or whatever. He just looked so aloof. This was a well shot segment though (might be the most chilling IMO). Especially when he blasts away that guy in the car. They could have cast someone else though because that guy just seemed too carefree.

Indeed, it was chilling, especially when the killer says "I'm gonna rob you and then I'm gonna kill you". Such disdain for human life...

This is totally amateurish in terms of sheer 'chills' compared to the murder of Larry Dickens by Edward Bell.........Dickens gets shot a few times w/a pistol.....then Bell put the pistol back & comes out w/a Ruger Mini-14 and shoots Larry in the head!

Although that segment was also chilling, it didn't take place at night (a.) and (b.) the blind river killer stated that he was going to rob them and then kill them. Edward Bell just wanted his keys back originally, if I recall correctly.

Yes, I agree Larry Dickens was downright horrible to watch. Dickens being shot numerous times and he was still on his feet and then Bell finishes him off. I cant believe Bell is going to be eligible for parole in only 6 years.

Actually I now have the complete NBC episode with the Blind River segment on it and it did mention the actor at the ending credits. His name is Mark Merry. He does have an IMDb page but it only lists one movie back in '87.

Gord passed away just a few years after that evil piece of human garbage killed his wife right in front of him.:( I'd love to see the guy who did this shrink wrapped to Dexter Morgan's table. If you watch the show Dexter, you'll know what I mean! :) :) Anyway, one thing that has always baffled me about this case is why in the world did Gord open the door for this guy? I know that the killer identified himself as a police officer, but surely the RV had some sort of peep hole, or some way to look outside and see that the guy was no cop. I know it's easy for me to armchair quarterback the whole thing, but man, if I am anywhere, hotel, RV, cabin, etc., I'm not opening the door for ANYBODY.

Wow. I did not know that! So, the Gord McAllister from this case has only been deceased for two months. It was nothing short of a miracle that Gord lived 21 years after seeing his wife murdered right in front of him.

I'm just now learning about the recent passing of Gord. Wow.
