Had a First round bye and won their division? Isn;t a cinderella team a team who squeaked in the playoffs as a 6th seed, and went on the road all through out the playoffs? Since when has a team with a first round bye been called a CINDERELLA TEAM???

Because in one year they went from the 2nd pick in the NFL draft to the NFC Championship game. In their first year back in New Orleans after all that happened in 2005.

If they go to the Superbowl, you could say they had a Cinderella season, since they went 3-13 last year, to making the Superbowl the next.
Cinderella season equals Cinderella team.
