I don't know how many of you folks are hockey fans, but I am a big devils fan & i have been blessed to have marty brodeur between the pipes for the last 13 years. Watching him last night do his magic against the rangers was just amazing. The devils over the years have been lucky enough to have guys like scott stevens & scott niedermayer on defense so marty wasn't always appreciated in my eyes the way I appreciate him now. The hockey season is barely half way thru & the man has 8 shut outs already & he was two tenths of a second from another shut out over the weekend against the islanders. Keep it up Marty!!!!!! Your absolutely amazing!!!

In past years, I'd say he was helped a lot with his defensemen (Stevens, Niedermayer, Daneyko, etc.) but he continues to impress when they have lesser names on defense. I'm hoping to see Kari Lehtonen put up Brodeur-like numbers for the next 15 years. :)

Brodeur has been the best goalie in the League for a long time since Patrick Roy retired. The next closest thing to him is Roberto Luongo. If I had to choose a gaolie for a one game winner take all match it would be Brodeur.

I am fortunate to get to see Luongo play for the Nucks here but I agree with the Canuckkid, Brodeur has to be my first choice right now. I think Luongo may push for his job in 2010 Olympics but right now nobody is better than Brodeur.

Luongo Is a very very very good goaltender. In my opinion, only 1 better is marty.
