I was watching the premiere, which with the whole ABBA thing had me SO excited, and was wondering what the **** was up with Paula? I mean, she sat there the whole time, hardly said a word, barely smiled, and looked like she was bitching and complaining the whole time. She seemed to not even want to be there. I've love her the first 5 years. She was sweet and perky, with some exceptions from last year. I realize they didn't have a great crowd in Seattle, but come on woman! Hopefully tonight and next week she'll be enjoyable to watch.

Who knows. Only she knows. I heard on the radio this morning the same thing. They played a tape of her on Ellen DeGeneres and her explanation to Ellen regarding her "behavior" was because of the excrutiating satellite tours. Her traveling around from satellite station to satellite station and the "weird" set-up regarding how speaking to a satellite audience...blah blah blah...to be honest, the way she talked and sounded on Ellen didn't help her either, she kept stumbling in her words, she didn't finish a sentence, it was very annoying hearing the tape. I hope she isn't really suffering from something that it is causing her problems with her speech and/or behavior.

she mightve not even really been there for some (or most) of the auditions. like i know a few times in AI4, she wasnt at the auditions and they would just put a voice-over of her saying yes or no.
