View Full Version : January 16, 2007 (Two Years Already)
80s_Fan 01-16-2007, 09:14 AM Well, today makes two years already since my late mother passed away due to colon cancer. Still to this day, I think about her everyday and miss her terribly. Even though, I am quite busy and have things on my mind; she's still in my thoughts all the time.

JuicyCoutureGirl 01-16-2007, 01:57 PM Let me extended some love...
I know how you feel, it's great that you hold on to her memory. Next year will be twenty years since the murder of my mother. I was only ten but I have kept her memory alive.
Hang on sweetie, while she may be gone, she there in your heart.
Nighthawk76 01-16-2007, 02:25 PM I'm sorry. :(

Janice 01-16-2007, 05:49 PM I'm sorry to hear that you're going though this. There's no love like a mother's love. It will be five years for my mother in March. For me, the intense grief subsided at about the three year point. It just gets different from there. Take solace in the fact that others know how you feel and share your pain.
Sharop 01-16-2007, 08:58 PM I'm sorry about that, 80sFan. I believe in life after death, and I believe you'll see your mother again.
Mr. Television 01-16-2007, 10:45 PM I'm sorry you're going through this. For me My Mom's been gone over 4 years now. She's still in my thoughts. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. It doesn't hurt as much as it did but I still have numb feelings especially on Holidays...Christmas in particular. Stay strong. :(
Yooch 01-17-2007, 01:07 AM You are in my thoughts.

TripperFan 01-08-2008, 12:02 AM Hugs to you. (my icons aren't working)
It was a year ago on the 17th that we lost my father-in-law and his widow is having a very rough time with it. :(
Just know she'll always be with you in spirit.
Dean Winchester 01-08-2008, 02:19 AM I'm very sorry, I noticed the next anniversary is coming up shortly :(
It's going on four years since my mother died, but while the passage of time has made things much easier, I won't lie and say there aren't times (notably the holidays) that I still really miss her, and even occasionally have dreams where she's still alive.
Mr. Television 01-08-2008, 02:28 AM My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you. It's never easy...it's just more bearable I guess. :(

And you always will love her too. She may be gone, but she lives on in those who love her. You may find that your deep grief will subside a bit now, at the three-year mark. I've found that to be the case, but everyone is different. Six years for my Mother this March. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her. I find that when I have problems, I miss her more. Mothers have a way of reassuring us, as no one else can.
