Christmas Eve 1989, At a medical center at a mall 20 miles from Boston, a man walks in and speaks to the receptionist. During the conversation, his beeper goes off and asks to use the phone. The receptionist tells him where the phone is and he goes and uses it. When he returns, he holds a gun to the back of the receptionist.
He then takes the receptionist and the 2 other doctors that were there into a room and asks one of the 2 female nurses to tie the male nurses hands up. He then tells the nurse to tie the female nurses hands up. He then directs the male and female nurses out of the room, leaving the tied up female nurse alone in the dark.
After the man demanded $1600 from the cash box, he took the female nurse into an examining room, the man told the nurse to take off her clothes and then brutally raped the woman.
Three days later, the man raped 2 more women, one of them was only 18.
On December 27, 1989, The man walked into a clothing boutique. The man said that he was looking for something for his girlfriend and asked the lady behind the counter to also attend. As the attendant (Tracy, the girl at the counter) was picking a dress out, the man pointed a gun to her back. He called Julie (the other attendant) over and told them to move to the back of the store. He took them into the office where he asked Tracy to fill a bag with money. He then told Julie to lie face down on the floor. He then told Tracy to take her clothes off and go into the bathroom. The man forced Julie to lock the shop then took her into the dressing rooms and told her to take off her clothes. He then told Julie to go into the office. He raped both women and left at around 10:30am. No witnesses saw him leave.
Soon the man was connected to 9 robberies around the Boston area. 5 Women were raped during those robberies.
The man was in his mid 30's (early to mid 50's now) and weighed around 200 pounds, and average looking, so he could blend into a crowd. His hair was described as reddish brown and sometimes black, so he could have dyed his hair, and he sometimes wore glasses and had a moustache.
