Waterbury, Conn. -- A lawyer wants to know, since when is a kiss at the holidays a crime?
A criminal defense attorney in Connecticut has been charged with disorderly conduct for kissing a female judicial marshal at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 22.
Ralph Crozier said police told him he was being charged because the woman did not invite him to kiss her. Crozier said it was something people do every day to wish their co-workers and friends "Merry Christmas."
The kiss was captured on security video. Crozier said it was just a "peck on the cheek," and that he didn't intend to annoy or harass anybody.
Crozier, who's 55, is free on $10,000 bond.
