Greetings everyone...
I've been somewhat of a lurker lately... not really having much to post, or too busy, or not able to. And, to be honest, I can't remember the last time I was able to sit down and watch a couple episodes of one of my favorite shows of all time. That may be the reason I haven't been as active as I have in the past.
I think the biggest reason is Lifetime's scheduling "error," where the girls are on at 9:00 am (when most people have left for work), 4:00 pm (when most people are still at work), and one airing at 1:00 am (when most people are in bed).
Granted, Will and Grace and Frasier are good shows, but The Golden Girls is Lifetime's bread-and-butter. Face it. We know it's something that still attracts viewers.
So, I'm asking everyone here to start sending emails to Lifetime and tell them what you think about their choice of timeslots for "The Golden Girls." Ask them to bring it back at 6:00 pm, or 10:00 pm, and for two airings.
Now... here's the thing about this writing.
On Lifetime's website, there is a "write to us (http://www.lifetimetv.com/feedback/index.php)" link at the bottom of the home page. Things have changed on the Lifetime website since I last wrote them. You next have to click the "Lifetime" button that appears, and then click "Shows." There is a button that asks "How do I write Lifetime?" and if you click it, it gives you a mailing address. I'd suggest doing that (it says send a postcard).
BUT...
If you click continue underneath that, you get the list of Lifetime shows that currently air (http://www.lifetimetv.com/feedback/form.php?area_id=1§ion_id=1). Here is where you can send them your thoughts on scheduling.
Please take a few minutes to do this... because we could all benefit from it. Since we're down to Season Seven for release, I wonder if Lifetime will take TGG off the network completely. For those of us who don't have their DVD player hooked up right now, we're stuck! But, if Lifetime were to bring the show back to bedtime (10:00 or 11:00 pm), I think it would definitely help the network.
So, please use the links above, drop a couple postcards in the mail, and let's tell Lifetime what we want!
Much appreciation!!! :tiphat:
