I know this is a long shot, but does anyone remember a night in 1992 and watching Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno? I accidentally stumbled across the following web page, and I have no memory of this happening at the time.

Yes, I remember watching it. Although I can't tell you the date, I do know they were on together pre-1995.

They were promoting a PBS drama (I think it was on PBS) that they were both in. They didn't play Rob & Laura, but they joked that it was what they may have become. I watched it and was not all that impressed.

I don't know about the 1992 episode, but a couple of years ago they appeared on the Tonight Show to promote "The Gin Game," which was aired on PBS. I don't know what they were promoting in 1992 unless it was that the Dick Van Dyke Show was going to be on Nick-at-Nite.

"The Gin Game" premiered in May of 2003, so about 2 1/2 years ago. Now I'm really curious to know why they appeared on The Tonight Show in 1992!

"The Gin Game" was on in 2003? Wow, it seems longer ago than that. But that could be right. I worked with Debbi from 1993-1994 and again from 2001-2006. She is a big MTM fan since her mom looked just like MTM.

The Dick Van Dyke Show Revisited? I believe that aired in May 2004.
