I just saw this on the news! He was apparently found along with Ben Ownby a boy who had went missing earlier in the month in an apartment in Missouri. The man living there has been charged with kidnapping and I would assume more charges are to follow. Anyway good news!!!

Isn't this great news.?!!! Not every child abduction results in the murder of the child. Just like Elizabeth Smart and just like Steven Stayner many years ago who was found alive. God knows how many kids were kidnapped and are waiting to be found. It is a scary thought to think what these kids have been through.

I am completely glad that Shawn and Ben are back home with thier families and free from the wrath of Devlin. I am starting to get really irritated by all of these news outlets and such that are asking "why didn't the boys leave when they had the opportunity". This is another case of the media going overboard. I mean, in Shawn's case, he was held captive for four and a half years, I'm sure the main thing he wants to do is to go back and start leading as normal life as possible and here are these people wondering why he didn't escape? Well to those people I would say "Well you don't know what it's like to be held captive." I'm sure if the boys knew of a surefire method that they would have used it and escaped, but nothing in life is guaranteed, and they probably didn't want to risk getting caught and severely beaten or killed.

Who knows what those boys went through. They probably figured, at least Shawn, that they would have never escaped. Consider the lost love story on UM of the woman who was searching for two of her former foster parents that sheltered her from her abused dad. She was living a good life with them, until one day the dad somehow regained custody and took her back, and the abuse started again. She probably figured she would have never escaped, and I think that's what the boys thought too. I mean even if the boys could have escaped, I think it's best that the media stop dwelling on it and let the boys just try to forget what they went through as much as possible.
