View Full Version : Was Saffron a necessary character on AbFab? A.D.A. Casey Novak 01-12-2007, 10:40 AM . Lurker 01-13-2007, 11:42 AM Yes, she was. The show needed someone completely opposite of the 2 woman. Someone to speak for the normal people. annala 01-20-2007, 12:36 AM . Of course Saffron was necessary. How else could one have seen the disparity between Patsy & Eddy and a normal person? She was the only "normal" one in the show. Even Eddy's mother was not...umm...normal. LOL Does anyone know if there have been any recent episodes? Within the last few years? Thanks, annala@aol.com coffield3 01-21-2007, 10:25 AM Yes because it was written mother and daughter orignally, plus safforn kinda is the mother in the programme. JMFabiano524 03-16-2007, 02:43 PM In the original series, definitely, for the reasons explained above. But come Series 4 and beyond, I found her less likable than Edina and Patsy are supposed to be. Since her character was changed to apparently out-and-out hate P&E, or so it seemed, there was no more voice of reason. IheartBlair 03-27-2007, 07:45 PM yeah Saffron was definitely necessary to look after her mother. On the other hand, Saffron had great zingers directed at Patsy and Edina. I just loved how Patsy was bitter about Saffron being born! It's so hilarious! Hands down Patsy is my favorite :D coffield3 06-01-2007, 10:27 AM Saffron was a cool character, she was always the rule book type!! Lurker 06-01-2007, 07:14 PM I do agree that as the years went by, Saffron got more and more mean. She seemed to move more toward hatred instead of dissapointment and impatience. |
