Can you think of any Characters on any sitcom that deserved there own show?

I think Jane from "Dharma and Greg" should have her own show cos she's hilarious!

Yeah It would be great in the tuesday 9:30 spot, right after Dharma and Greg. It could take the place of that lame Geena Davis show.

Sandraua from 227 should have had her own show.

Maryanne from cybill should of had one.

i think that quinn from daria should have her own show.

Cherrie from Punky Brewster

and....

Tootie from FACTS OF LIFE.

Maynard G Krebs on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. That would have been really cool.

I dunno.... Supporting characters often can't do it on their own, no matter how funny they are. Case and point - Flo. Hilarious, but on her own, just flat out unfunny.

I think sucsessful spin-offs result from characters that are minor, and are not an integral part of the show. When you take a character like Fonzie and pull him away from his straight-man Richie, it wouldn't be funny. But you take a lesser character who is a guest star or a small recurring role on the show, like Laverne & Shirley, and WHAM! You've found the formula to spin-off gratification!

your right. But what about The Jeffersons, they were large part of alot of the episodes. There sitcom did really good.

I think Vivian Bagley from "The Lucy Show" should have had her own show. That would have been GREAT!

I think that Pam from "Martin" should've had her own spin-off which was in the works but never went through with production.

" Brilliant Ideas", a show about Blair who accidently flew an airplane with his dad to an arabian jungle, and it crashes, and she becomes a famous dog-cather living off of Zsa Zsa Gabor's hair tonic.

I think that Niles and CC from The Nanny should of had their own show. It would be called, ROOM FOR ONE MORE? It would star Niles and CC after they are married. They buy a yacht and decide to cruise around the world for 10 years. When their lives seem content and happy CC gets pregnant with triplets. They decide to sell the yacht and buy a mansion in Northern California.

George Wendt from The Naked Truth should have had his own show with his Person on NT cos he was awsomme.

Gunther and Janice from Friends on a show called The No 2 Won fu.They would marry,have a child and Die every week.

Micheal Richards as Kramer from Seinfeld he should have had a spinoff just imagine the world of Kramer.

That is so very right, like for example when they decided to produce a 90210 spin-off it would have been so easy for them to take a major character like Brenda or Dylan and give them their own show, but instead they took a minor character ( Jake, played by Grant Show) and turned it into the miracle known today as MELROSE PLACE!

After Laverne & Shirley was canceled, I was a little suprised that Lenny & Squiggy didn't have a show of their own, because they had seemed to be pretty popular characters.

Larry from Three's Company! It could be called "Larry's Life" or "Another Day, Another Girl"

Mister Furley! It could be called "Furley's Apartment"

Gloria and Mike from All In The Family. The show could be called..."Gloria and Mike!" It would be all about their life in California with Joey. That would probably last a while. And everynow and then, they could have had Archie and Edith as guest stars.

Okay now Simpsons...How bought a spin off with Cheif Wiggum and his family! It could be called "The Wiggums!"

I could go on and on with spin offs!...

Jack from "Will & Grace"-dare I say it can't go wrong? Karen, too.

I think Lenny & Skiggy should have gotten a spin-off as well. They were funny.
I think Brenda from Rhoda should have at least tried her own spin-off after Rhoda ended. It could have been about them slowly rising in life.
I also think that after Will & Grace ends, Karen should get her own show.
But what we all have to keep in mind is that all shows do well with the help of the supporting characters. They do well as the back up but as the star, hmmm. Thats why shows have supporting characters.

I think a character on The Facts Of Life should have had their own show, because the show ran for 9 years and became a huge hit. It is my favorite show and some sitcoms don't even last for 1 year on televison. Even though Tootie is my favorite she wasn't that popular on the show so I think Blair should have had her own show.

I think after Shirley left Laverne & Shirley, they should have renamed the show to just Laverne.

I like Penny Marshall as Laverne Defazio.

I think NATALIE from the facts of life should get a spin-off, because everyone can admitt that even though she was overweight, she was hilarious!

I would have liked to see one of the bundy kids to get their own spinoff.

Even though i loved Desining women, delta burke was never my faveorite and although it was nice to see her spino-ff, Women of the house, i would have loved to see either Annie Potts or Jean Smart get thier own spinoff, maybe even Mesache Taylor.

I think that The Drew Carey Show's Lewis could have his own show, but instead of it being based on his character, it would be more on his job, as the janitor of DrugCo. It'd be kind of like the special effects eps of the Drew Carey Show, except on every episode.

I remember when "Seinfeld" was winding down, there was talk of such a spin-off being pushed to NBC executives.

I think I would have liked to see Luke Perry get his own solo show. I used to watch 90210 in the early years and tuned in during the latter just enough to notice a lot of the pretending was gone and he was tired of this show.

This is for Jack they did had a Spin-off of Mike and Gloria but it was just called Gloria because the makers of the show did a stupid thing by having Mike leave Gloria and Joey. Then have Gloria to take care of Joey all by herself. I think it came on Saturday nights on CBS.

Well, she did. She got her own spinoff. The pilot was filmed and aired after the Cosby Show back in April of 1989. I remember taping it, but NBC never picked it up as a weekly show so it was sold as part of the 227 package in syndication.

"The Dennis Blunden Show" would have been great! Just showing him in his every day life and all the schemes and plans he comes up with -man, that would be awesome!!
