HELP!!!!!!
I know many of you know how the anniversary is fast approaching and this year is a very special year. Well, in keeping with the sentiments of the occasion, I'm trying to work on a special tribute of my own, but I need a lil help, please?!

What would be a big help to me would be for everyone to list a favorite fun fact about Freddie and a favorite quote of his. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!! :bighug:

My favorite quote would be the one about God that is in my signature here. I also like Looking Good, You Got it & It's Not my Job... :)

Can it be a Chico quote because my all time favorite line from Freddie was on his last episode of CATM. Chico pretends he hurt his hand with the car hood.

Ed - Are you hurt?
Chico - No I'm yelling because it's a full moon man.

It can most definitely be a Chico quote! Thanks!!!
Now how about the fun facts............
I'll start.....
Freddie wrote songs. His mother says in her book that he sold one song and when Freddie was hosting the Tonight Show, his guest, Tony Orlando, performed one of Freddie's original songs. :)

Now what do you remember about your favorite 'Hunga-Rican'?;)

My favorite fact is that Freddie was given a set of drums by Buddy Rich.....and he ended up giving them to a total stranger he met who was down on his luck and needed a set of drums to play at some club to make money...at least I think that is how the story goes....Maria wrote about it in her book. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Favorite line that Freddie used in CATM....."Come here to me"

Freddie made a radio studio in his bedroom as a young kid, painted everything black.

I love the way Chico says: yeah well your memories are stacked up to the ceiling brother"

in the garage sale episode

and when ed won't give the lawyer his money back when louise;s car conks out on him after buying it
and they are fighting as chico is moving out of the van he says "I don't give a damn what they think of me out there i care about what they think of you!

that line shows some real love and respect between the two

I do remember in Maria's book that one of Freddie's first roomates in LA would take their phone into his room at night because Freddie would run up the phone bill. But Freddie would just grab the telephone cord and take the phone back without even getting up. I just keep picturing his roomate watching the phone disappear.

Well I found the quote but I do not know if it will fit in to what you are doing Dani. The quote was from an interview where Freddie mentions the fact that he has heard every Lenny Bruce tape, talked with his mother and his daugher was like a sister to him, The quote that he said that stuck was, "Can you imagine missing someone you never knew?"

This is a toughie, one of my favorite quotes from the show was from the fighter episode, when Louie is trying to convince Chico not to fight and Chico turns to see Ed standing on the stairs, face half lathered with shaving cream and says something to the effect "I don't know how he does it, I see your lips moving but all I hear is Ed's voice" or something like that. My brain is very mushy.
My favorite thing I remember fondly is his album, when he is doing the routine about West Side Story and he imitates Tony whispering "I love you Maria" to Maria, since my name is Marie, I always pretend he is calling to me when he says that!
And my favorite pose is in the vacation episode, when he is leaning against the car with his shirt open and those sunglasses on and that grin on his face! :D

Hope that helps
Hope I am not too late, but I haven't had the time to be on here in the past two weeks, we had a Science Fair at our school and I was stressed out to the max, but now it is snowing and it looks like we might get our first snow day tomorrow :woohoo:

One of the things I always remember is how good he was to his mom; how he bought a nice house for his parents as soon as he could afford it, so they could finally live in a safer neighborhood and be close to him.

One of my favorite things about him on CATM was his many impressions of famous people and different ways he would imitate people of different races/nationalities (something you couldn't easily get away with today) I loved how he would try to speak Chinese and his Kung-Foo hollas!
