The bodies of the unidentified couple were found in South Carolina in 1976. The male victim was wearing an Accutron yellow gold watch.

Well I know the last segment was just briefly mentioned at the end of the segment titled "the Investigators" and it profiles how law enforcement is able to identify deceased individuals. I always thought that was a fascinating case about the murdered couple.

As far as the first segment I'm not sure. On that segment about investigators they did profile the case of an unidentified woman who had a cab take her as far as he could for the money she had. She was thin and had long blond hair. Soon after she was found at the bottom of the cliff but I was under the impression that they think she may have committed suicide. I'm not sure what area that happened in but could that be the first one you're referring to?

If it really was a hit and run case, as Johnnyangel described, then it couldn't be that case. But I know what "Jane Doe" you're referring to, Crystaldawn. Impressive you found that link Kane. :) Another possibility although rather remote is I have the NBC airing of the man who fell off the plane to his death. They had the segment split into two when NBC aired it and the other part was an unidentified woman who I believe was the victim of a hit and run driver. She was still alive but unable to talk and apparently suffering from brain damage (it was just heartbreaking to me to see footage of her). They had to shave her head due to apparent surgery but I remember they had a composite drawing of what she looked like before the accident. I'm not sure what part of the country this took place in.

I know what johnnyangel is talking about with #1. It's from the same segment as the cliff jumper in 1987 and the murdered couple from 1976. After they spoke of the cliff jumper, Stack said "despite the work of investigators, there are still many unidentifed John and Jane Does around the country. Here are three of them" (or something similar). First was the girl who was killed on the Pacific Coast highway. She has a Doe Network profile but the website is under construction right now. She was wearing a ring made of human hair. They then told about the murdered couple found in North Carolina.

I still cant understand how these people can remain unidentified, its not like at the time they were found as skeletons or something.

I mean don't parents or friends or brothers or any family after awhile go "Hey, I haven't seen so and so for awhile?................"
