thanks for letting me know. i went on the site and casted my vote on there
misterblowhole 02-11-2008, 10:02 PM I also voted. I can't believe how lowly ranked this show is on the most-wanted unreleased shows.
I'd completely forgotten about this show, and then when my memory was jogged, I thought I would like to buy a DVD, and was very very surprised to see it had not been released. But I guess the demand really isn't there
waichingliu81 02-23-2008, 02:34 PM there are many classic shows, which still haven't been released on dvd-, and hangin' with mr cooper is one of them. i don't understand as to why something like Martin can get a dvd release, and yet this one doesn't. i'm sure there are plenty of fans who would love for 'hangin' with' to get an official release. this was such a great show to watch.
waichingliu81 02-24-2008, 02:08 PM just did a search on the web, apparently, the production companies of this show are jeff franklin productions, bickley warren productions and lorimar television. the distributors are ABC and warner bros.
TVFactFan 02-24-2008, 03:23 PM If This show came out on DVD I would only buy season 1, i have no interest in buying the other seasons

i'm guessing you're not a huge follower of 'Coop' soloman. yeah it did go slightly downhill when geneva and nicole arrived and robin left but i stuck with the show right until it got cancelled

Well my situation at the time is what really caused me to stop following the show. The first season was during my senior year in highschool and when season 2 started I was entering college so i didn't have time to watch it anyway
Pavan 02-25-2008, 10:07 PM Solomon, I think season one was OK...but I liked season two when Raven, Nell Carter and the others came on board. It was more fun. Try watching it on TV One.

MORE FUN??? It was no longer an adult type of Comedy when Raven was added.
Pavan 02-26-2008, 02:23 AM Raven's Nicole was never a central character...she never really had major plots. It more about her mom, Geneva.

And Geneva was a Coffee Table with Teeth-lol
schoolmom 03-01-2008, 12:53 PM I have been wanting for YEARS for this show to become available on DVD.
I just can't figure out WHY it hasn't been. Other shows come on, and after
the 1st season is over, usually within a few weeks, that show's Season 1
is already out on DVD. WHY??????!!!!! My family & I LOVE this show!

you've echoed my sentiments exactly. 'hangin' with...' was a great show, it was so funny and the romantic element with mark and vanessa was interesting. it's one of the very few black sitcoms that i'd tune into- the others being diff'rent strokes, fresh prince, the cosby show, the jeffersons and the parkers.
i am glad though that the cosby show is finally getting an official release in the uk on dvd, region 2 sometime in may this year

oh i understand now. thanks for clarifying that. :)
waichingliu81 03-01-2008, 01:27 PM ok, i just went on amazon.com and typed in the title of the show and where it says avaliability, it mentions:
NOT YET RELEASED: The studio is currently not producing this title, but to be notified when it is available, enter your e-mail address at right. You'll also be voting for this release; we'll let the studio know how many customers are waiting for this title.
and so the thing to do is to go on amazon, sign in or sign up for a amazon account if you haven't got one, enter your email address and they'll (as in amazon) notify the studio and distributors how many people are waiting for this dvd
TVFactFan 03-01-2008, 01:43 PM
That's why I refuse to buy any other season. Unattractive and Boring
schoolmom 06-11-2008, 09:36 PM MORE FUN??? It was no longer an adult type of Comedy when Raven was added.
The same thing happened when Raven came to The Cosby Show. From then
on, the title should've been The Raven Show. I still love Hanging With Mr.
Cooper, however. I am SO puzzled why this great show hasn't been released
on DVD yet. Practically every other show comes out on DVD after it's 1st
season on tv.

almost every sitcom you can think of has been released on dvd, well the first season at least, but for hangin' with mr cooper, which is just ridiculous. this show deserves to be released on dvd; its funny, enjoyable and fun and whilst the geneva and nicole thing did drag the show down somewhat, i quite liked the mark and vanessa romantic angle in the latter seasons
