Triple H tears quadriceps tendon
Written: January 8, 2007
Following an MRI with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. on Monday,
Triple H was diagnosed with a ruptured quadriceps tendon.
Officially, The Game suffered a tear of one of the four tendons in his
right quadriceps. The injury occurred during DX's match with Rated-RKO
at New Year's Revolution. Surgery will be performed on Tuesday in
Alabama, and WWE doctor Ferdinand Rios estimates that The Game will
need four to six months to rehabilitate the injury.
While he was in a tremendous amount of pain prior to the MRI, Triple H
was said to be in great spirits. Stay tuned to WWE.com for further
updates.
Brian Damage 01-08-2007, 08:48 PM So long DX
Ricky88 01-08-2007, 08:57 PM This isn't the first time he's torn the quads, so I'd say it's more like 6-8 months.
Chelsea 01-08-2007, 11:22 PM You don't come back from a torn quad in four months. Heck, his recovery time from his LAST quad tear in 2001 was considered quick.

How long was he out in 2001? Was it 4 months?
Chelsea 01-08-2007, 11:34 PM Hurt in May, Returned in January. Roughly 8 months. They're saying this one might not have been as severe. I MAYBE could see him making 6 months.

I agree. 6 months minimum. We're definitely not seeing him until the summer at the earliest.
Brian Damage 01-09-2007, 12:30 AM I guess the bright spot is, he WON'T be in this year's Wrestlemania main event.
Chelsea 01-09-2007, 12:47 AM Would you rather it be Umaga? Or heaven forbid Khali??
All everything aside, at least you know that, at Wrestlemania, Triple H can and will go on all cylinders and deliver the best match he knows how.
Lex Luthor 01-09-2007, 12:59 PM HHH is the consumate performer
I have seen this guy make Funaki look like the next coming of Hulk Hogan. I can think of 3 matches where he was seriously hurt and continued the match despite the pain.
The 2 Quad tears and the one where he took a shot in the throat. I would love to see him back holding the WWE title.
I think this new Russian guy might get a big push but not in time for WrestleMania.
Chain Gang Member 01-09-2007, 08:46 PM Not only will HHH be out of Wrestlemania, but it's in my home state.I hope he's going to be there to sign autographs

No, just somebody different. Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Edge, somebody.
I know that HHH is a great worker, but you have to mix it up every year.
hawkeye419 01-10-2007, 01:32 AM I have no clue what Mania will be like this year. Is it just me or is the buildup to Wrestlemania supposed to take shape around this time? I see no direction from WWE whatsoever.
Chelsea 01-10-2007, 03:10 AM The Mania buildup starts at the Rumble.
