facebook is yesterday's myspace. I used to be all about that before myspace came around. besides the spam messages (just delete them if you dont know the person) it's got way more features than facebook.

I'm getting kind of sick of myspace myself. If I get one more fake friend invite from some woman pretending they want to be my friend, only to turn out to really be some whorish hustler, trying to get me to visit their stupid little adult websites, I'm gonna go crazy!! I'm still getting about 10 of those a night, and I'm so sick of it. Seems like the more I report those people, the more messages I get from them. :mad:

Myspace can be whatever you want it to be. If you don’t want unsolicited friend requests from people who don't know you, then make it a requirement that they need to know your last name or email address & quit whining.

Charlie P_____ somehow gets around that, by listing some other name as his last name, though that IS his last name, and it's on his Myspace site. Since he's an actor-in-waiting-while-waiting-tables, wanting to network, I find that annoying. :ohno:

Charlie's a bright guy, who writes an articulate blog, and has a lot of pizzaz. It's the ones with so much charisma who act as though the press has the measles!
It's annoying, because those of us on the school paper need to write about the theater students, but their teachers neglect to teach their students press manners.

I wouldn't make my profile private. Some of the best friends I've made on myspace have been people that I didn't previously know, and now they're some of my best friends. I have gotten some good ideas from a couple people though on how to lessen the odds of getting unwanted messages and fake friend invitations, and how to spot these people, so it should get better now.
