Facts of Life is my all time favorite. I also like The Jeffersons, Maude, and Good Times. All of them came from All in the Family.

theshark8777-- I've posted this a few times before but I'll say it again. Happy Days was not a spin off of Love American Style (Or the movie American Graffiti). Garry Marshall shot the Happy Days pilot, but ABC decided not to turn it into a series. They sold it as a segment on Love, American Style in order to make back some of the money they'd lost on it. When George Lucas decided to do American Graffiti, he sent someone to look at Happy Days to see if Ron Howard would be good for the role of Steve in the movie. He was, so they cast him. When American Graffiti became a hit, ABC decided to cash in on the nostalgia hype and turned Happy Days into a series.

Mine has to be Maude, The Jeffersons & Good times. These shows were great!

Actually, sitcomwriter, it wasn't. There was a week where Mad About You, Friends, Caroline in the City, and one other sitcom had crossover episodes, but I don't remember the exact date.

My favorite is Mork and Mindy, spinoff from Happy Days.

The Ten of Us (Growing Pains)

It was mentioned here in earlier posts that Sanford and King of Queens are both spinoff shows!!! Can someone tell me what shows they were spun off from?

This is pretty obscure, but "Tenacious D" on HBO was a semi-spinoff of "Mr. Show with Bob and David." Since Mr. Show was a sketch comedy show, the only real possible spinoff would've been a show based on one character. Tenacious D was not that, but Jack Black appeared in Mr. Show, then got a chance to make his own HBO show with bandmate Kyle Gass. Bob and David exec-produced it, and many of the same writers, directors, producers and performers from Mr. Show worked on Tenacious D. So, call it a creative-team spinoff.

Anyway, that's my favorite show ever. Only lasted three episodes. That's okay, though, 'cause now THE D HAS AN ALBUM COMING OUT! Lock up your daughters! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
