one little rebellious sea creature crept out onto land and boom, the mammal was born. and somewhere down the line, we came.

but if we want to get technical, then it started with single-celled organisms.

No, I don't believe that. Although there are certain individuals who certainly act like they do.;)

We evolved from something, that's for sure. Apes, very unlikely, in my opinion.

I prefer to believe we came from a galaxy far, far away. But I suppose that theory won't hold water with most people.

This could become a debate depending on individual beliefs.

Are you talking about the country-rock group the Eagles, or is there something else known by that name?

I'm a Christian, but I don't take the Bible literally. I believe a lot of the New Testament, and I believe in Jesus, but there are other parts that I don't believe.

I wouldn't say I believe that we evolved from apes - but I do think we've evolved. I do think we were probably very much hairer 60,000 years ago. Apparently, people were shorter hundreds of years ago as well.

We all (humans and animals and trees and plants alike) evolved from the individual shaved beard folicles of Chuck Norris! Hehe! He was here even before the very Earth was first formed from mere space dust.

I don't take the Bible literally either, considering its so old who knows whos messed with it. I dunno, I think it's a possibility. Thing don't just happen, we couldn't have just appeared. I don't even think God would do that, He's too, I dunno...natural, artsy or whats the word to make something just appear. I think He makes it happen gradually.

The Bible says that we were all created in God's image, and that's what I believe.

No, but I believe that apes and humans evolved from a common ancestor. No credible scientist has ever said we evolved directly from apes.

In History we were watching a movie of a 3 million year old ape that was proven to be half human, her name was "Lucy". I wish we could all come from some form of an ape.

The Bible also says that Joshua commanded the sun to stand still in the sky. Is the Bible correct in promoting only a pre-Copernican view of the universe?
