HOLLYWOOD - Courteney Cox is shocked at the brutal criticism and reviews she has received for her new TV show Dirt.
The former Friends star plays tabloid magazine editor Lucy Spiller on the series and took one particular review very personally.

She explains, "There have been some great reviews for the show that made me feel really good and some that were so brutal."

Cox was appalled after reading a particularly harsh analysis in the San Francisco Chronicle which read, "No offense intended to Cox, but she's not the type of woman that men tend to imagine in the masturbation arena."

An outraged Cox replies, "That's not even saying, like, 'Courteney's not a good actor.' That's actually saying, 'You're not sexy!'

"I mean how brutal is that? I do have this one scene where I use a vibrator, but, like, not one person in the whole world can imagine 'maybe' masturbating over me? Not one? God!"

She sounds more offended that in some eyes, she's not considered sexy, then worrying about the reviews for her show.

Well she was always just OK looking

I think she's gorgeous, but she should be worrying about other things, not reviews. What do they know? (Yeah, I actually can't tell cause I haven't seen Dirt yet, lol)

I've wanted to see "Dirt" but I don't have cable anymore so I really can't say anything about that. But what kind of critic who is suppose to review a show, talking about how he doesn't want to masterbate to her?

I tried to watch the show but IMO it sucked beyond belief.

That said, I think she's pretty darn hot I'd probably be offended if I was her and that comment wasn't about the acting or the show, but a knock on her looks.

ive seen all dirt episodes by downloading them from the internet, and i love the show! and courteney really shows how much different roles she can play, and i dont understand why they are putting her down or something, i think she is the best looking actress!
