I came across a recent article about a man named John E. Warren. He was a retired New Jersey professor who left his home on August 7, 1983, and was never seen again. According to his wife, John told her that he was going out for a walk, and he would return in an hour. Needless to say, however, John never returned home.

The article in question briefly mentions that the case was featured on Unsolved Mysteries, but I couldn't remember that particular case. I then considered the possibility that it could have been a case that was never rerun on Lifetime. It could also have been the type of missing person profile that was briefly featured along with other separate missing-person cases in one of the show's "special bulletin" segments.
